Those of you on Facebook know that I may be moving to Irving, Texas in the not-all-too-distant future and this would be a good way to connect with locals and learn what I can about a place that MIGHT be home to me some day.

I just wish I could take the time to bring the car.... I cant' see that happening if I am going to also go see my kids this holiday season.

WOW! That is great Mark! We'll have tons of local advice to share with you.

And I am LOOKING for that advice! I'm available for dinner on Thursday and Friday as well - that way, I could take some advice and go on a self-guided tour. First thing when I land Thursday is to check out where our offices are and rental possibilities nearby, etc.

When it comes to figuring out a new place, the only thing better than a GOOD real estate person is someone who lives there.

In any event, it is time I come visit some of you who drive all the way from Texas for the DRAGON!

Here is the TMS link:
Laps for Charity
Are we to sign up and get tickets on TMS website or is someone handling that on behalf of CrossfireForum?

The OP has this link in it:

Events | SCC Texas

Well, it takes you (eventually) to the same place your "shortcut" takes you.

Edmon, you can sign up in advance on the Texas Speedway web site. $40, which includes a picture in the Winners Circle. Look forward to meeting you.
Also book at Motel 6 which is our Hotel of choice being only a stones throw from the Track. Don't forget to ask for the Crossfire Discount.

Dan, Please put Dennis and Pat down for the TMS. We should be recovered from the wonderful CAA 7 trip by then and ready for another Crossfire fix. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Thanks, D&P

Can someone add me to the list coming to TMS on 17th. I am bringing a friend named Keith Kelley. He will be riding with me, has no car to run.
I heard somewhere that we need helmets, Is that correct? If it is, I will not be able to run.
I still have the 2006 LTD Roadster, black, 18,600 miles, 6 speed.

Hey folks, if you haven't been watching the weather forecast for North Texas, the weather for this weekend is not looking good ...there will be cold front moving through with 50% chance of rain on Saturday and 80% of rain Sunday. If it rains, TMS will cancel the event and I'm told will issue refunds to those that prepaid.

Stay tuned to this thread and hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday we'll have a better idea of the forecast in case people need to cancel their hotel reservations.
