CAA#8 . . . Any planning in the works?
Re: CAA#8 . . . Any planning in the works?
I'd be in favor of visiting Eureka Springs & the Ozark mountains again. CAA-6 was a great event there. Wife & I really enjoyed that trip & locale.

Wife & I enjoyed our stay at The Quality Inn in Eureka Springs. Location, the accommodations, parking & facilities were all very good.
Looks like either one of the Best Western properties in Eureka Springs are also nice facilities. I checked out their listings on Expedia and both facilities look to be maybe a grade level higher than the Quality Inn with sufficient size to handle our group. Full service restaurants at both sites. (Not really a necessity as there are plenty of eateries throughout Eureka Springs. Breakfasts might be upgrades vs. Quality Inn.)

I agree and we also enjoyed the hotel and the area. A bit less rain would have been nice. Does anyone know if John Two Hawk is still living in Eureka Springs and still has his yellow Crossfire roadster?
Re: CAA#8 . . . Any planning in the works?
A return to Eureka seems to be a popular idea .. just none stepping up for making it happen.
Re: CAA#8 . . . Any planning in the works?
I sent an email to John Two Hawks. I'm willing to help planning and organizing but we would need a local on the team too. I will report back if I hear from John.

Red Dog, If you can't get in touch with him let me know. He is a friend of my wife's brother who lives there.

I would return to Eureka Springs for CAA8
It was a wonderful time even with the rainy weather and it seems that most everyone who attended had expressed a desire to come back again
I'll be following the discussion here or anywhere I see this mentioned

I've been talking to three of us and we agreed to go public with our plans after the first of the year.
It's a long drive for me, but you can bet your Crossfire that I'd be there. Greg and Sherry took on a TREMENDOUS task and got no help in planning it but DID get a little help once we got there - this is way too much for one person or one couple to set up.
Those of us talking have agreed we'd move to a different hotel, while our host hotel was not at all bad (and rates were really good) another facility was found that offered us even more.
Mr. Davis - sounds like you are on the team.

I'm in for this. Crumpy and I have the new SRT ragtop with which to toy around town.
Last year was great except I had to leave early. Near as I can tell we will be allowed back in town. Let's try harder this year eh?
