Does your Crossfire Roadster smell funny?
Does your Crossfire Roadster smell funny?
I work for a local Chrysler Dealer and we have 2 Roadsters, used 05's both with under 10,000 miles. One of my jobs is to check out the vehicles on the lot and every time I get in either one of the Crossfires, they have a funny odor to them. Is this common? I'm thinking that maybe it is coming from the material used on this car.

The smell is exactly the same in both but it doesn't smell like leather. I might get into a 100 different cars in one day some leather and some not but these 2 always smell like they give off an odor, sort of a putrid smell. That's why I ask this question. Evidently it most be something common in the material that is used in these cars.

I found that condensation accumulates if you leave the A/C on while the top is down (and in turn starts to smell). To remove the smell drive the car with the blower fan on but the A/C off. The condensate will disappear and the smell is gone.
Just don't forget to switch the A/C (or fan) off when driving with the top down.
