Help with rear end..mine, not my crossfire?
Help with rear end..mine, not my crossfire?
OK, so my rear has made the middle age move..vacating it's assigned spot behind me and moving to my front. As a result, my non-existent a** is rendered pretty darned painful after driving 40 miles or so. I'm hoping that some other a** disabled crossfire owners could give me some help on dealing with this problem.
Sheepskin seat covers..GASP..gel pads...help, please. Those narrow, hard leather seats are making my driving time feel less like the youthful rush I should be getting and more like the precursor to being tied to a wheelchair with bedsheets.
Help. please!

I included this in a post a few weeks ago and folks got a kick out of it. Has to do with a cheap windscreen and a custom made lower back support device. Look it up for posts under my name - 'a few good ideas from a new owner' or something like that.
Yes, us old guys need to stick together. Good luck.

I run a mattress store, and in addressing pressure relief memory foam and latex foam are the most prevalent solutions.
Try a 2-3 inch thick piece of visco-elastic memory foam; at least 5 lb density, or a chunk of latex foam.
The visco is temp sensitive so it will be harder when cold, but the seat heater will still make it mushy for the tushy.
(note: good quality visco is open cell and will breath; poor quality would be like sitting on plastic since it won't. You can tell by mashing your hand into it, and seeing if it makes your palm sweaty.)

Ok, decision made..thanks for the help..collagen injections
are out..don't want my rear end looking like octomom's lips. I ain't gonna exercise, because I just ain't gonna do it. Giving up crawfish is out of the question, my blood pressure has to be high so that the meds aren't a waste of money.
Therefore, I'm gonna get me one of those tempurpedic things for my a$$..can't afford that stuff for a bed, but hell I think I can afford a small one.
