Do you happen to have the bulletin number ?
And do think there would be ANY chance that a MB dealer could do the work ?
There are no Chrysler Crossfire trained personnel anywhere close to me.
I get this from the Chrysler recall site ( Chrysler - Contact Us )
Here are your results
Acrobat Reader 4.0 or later is required to view

This is all the real deal, but includes model year 2005, only (why? ... I don't know) but it is inclusive of all 2005's up to 100,000 miles regardless of ownership history. Installation would be performed a local qualified rag-top installer.
And it gets better.
If you have already replaced or even repaired your top due to adhesive failure, you can request reimbursement of your costs with adequate proof of payment. Send all of your original receipts, VIN and letter of request to:

Re: Chrysler to Replace '05 Convertible Tops Under TSB -- YAHOO!!
My local dealership is a ****. I will need the actual bulletin and I will probably need to speak to someone at Chrysler to get my dealer to do any work. I had the problem before my extended warranty expiried. I put a little 3M seal on it to get by and they rejected my claim because they said I tried to fix it myself. I told them it was just a temporary fix so water wouldn't get in and so it would't fall out - endangering other vehicles. They told me they would not pay. The Gahh top is the best - www.gahh.com. I hope they replace it with something like this.

Even the parts manager had to go "up stairs" to check it out and make sure it was legit. My new top is ordered and will be here next Tuesday. And since this is a 'new' part number, it would seem that Chrysler has been planning this rollout for some time.
Once I see the thing, I'll report back as to quality and workmanship.
PS: You can thank the many people responding under the "Convertible Top Problem Solved" thread. Apparently so many people have been bltching to Chrysler that Chrysler finally conceded the problem and essentially made it a defective product recall.

By the way, have you also heard that Chrysler is coming out model year 2013 with a retractable hard top for the Crossfire?
