Help needed
I was parked in the airport parking for 7 days, When I got off the plane to the car I pushed my key=bob and nothing happen. I tried over and over but nothing. It would not open the trunk or doors. The red flashing light for the security was still on. I decided that it must be the key and the battery must have finally lost its charge. I got my wife to get two new batteries and tried it again. NOTHING? I then manually open the drivers door and tried to turn the key to turn off the security towing light. The siren was going off and I was waiting to be arrested. The car would not start, but the radio came on, the idiot lights came in, but it would not start.
I am thinking I will have to get it towed to a Chrysler dealer to have them turn off the security. Does anyone know ho to do this????I sure would like to start up my car and get it out of the airport garage. ($12 a day) I read and did everything in the manual, and my wife did it too.
One good thing the siren is loud and and it keeps the car from starting.

Re: Help needed
I am guessing that this is another SKREEM fault. The remote key relay and SKREEM are connected so that is my reason for this guess.
In the other cases the key problem was not an issue.
If it is do not pay full $$$ for the SKREEM as they can be rebuilt by some companies, $140 was mentioned.

Re: Help needed
The key should work just fine even with dead batteries in the fob, as the batteries only power the transmitter in the fob.
Good luck.
Re: Help needed
The solution:
I waited 1 hour and 30 min for a tow, and towed it to Les Schwab for a 8 year battery @$146. As soon as he disconnected the cables then Skreen went off. I tried to tell the toy that he was not stealing it. As soon as we put the new battery on it stopped and now working well. It was fun watching the tow guy lifting the crossfire on to the flat bed and the alarm going off. My ears are still ringing I am just glad it is done and I had no problem syncing the key to the new battery. All is well in Idaho.
Thanks for the info as fast as it came it made me feel better. I told Rebecca as soon as we can afford it I will get her a new battery also.
Thanks Folks!

Re: Help needed
Chalk another one up for the Red Baron.
The moral here is never rely on an old battery. Bragging that your battery has lasted ten years is not to be recommended.
Five years max would be safe unless the battery starts to fail before that.
The first thing I did when I got my '05 in '11 was get a new battery.
