help with control module

Default help with control module

we have a 05 roadster that has a faulty control module for the fuel pump. said it is a mopar part and run me 300.00 . bout same price on labor. is it something I can bypass or find cheaper elsewhere? can I change it out w hardly any tools or should it stay with dodge? I kinda car savvy buy not with this one. dodge broke it off in me for 200. just for a diagnostic. any advice and info be greatly appreciated. thank yal

Search for "Mystery No Start".
DJ ( tighed1 ) still fixes these for like $10

no. having trouble doin a good solder job so gonna send to tighed 1. thank you tho. tighed1 if you see this I need a email address or phone number so we can talk. gonna send part to you and let it get fixed right.

You would be best to keep your problem in one post, you have two posts that reflect the same problem in all livelihood so why split them up.
Going to the dealer was a BIG mistake and an estimated $300 for labor to install a new ($300) RCM is just plain robbery.
The RCM can be rebuilt with $10 relays and re soldered easily.
Come here for the cheap fixes in future.

Received RCM Thursday. Went over the solder joints and performed the Me So Horny mod. Took it and the mailer envelope out to my car to test your RCM before mailing it. My car would not start!!!!

Did additional troubleshooting and found that the coil in your fuel relay was bad so the fuel pump was not working. Ordered a replacement relay which arrived yesterday. Installed it and vaaaarooooom! She alive!
RCM mailed back out yesterday afternoon.

Saved ya $300 and I got my beer!

Seems the coils are starting to go after 10 years, isn't that the second one like that after the one you fixed for me ?

Yep.
Second bad fuel relay coil.
