Does the vehicle accelerate while the rpms are climbing? Or does it rev high and not move and/or not downshift?
If it was an MT6 and it revved without acceleration, I'd say the clutch was gone. Not sure about an automatic since I only have one in my SRT6 and depressing the pedal hard results in downshift, engine roar, and warp speed.
