Default radio

I have a 07 roadster the stock radio sounds well like hell has anyone go a good upgrade and can the existing speakers be removed without removing the door panel. I do have a better radio to put in it but that does not mean the sound would improve. Any ideas?

Do you have a 'base' or 'SE" model that doesn't have the built-in amplifier?

The Base and SEs have a LOT of room for improvement!

Look down in the area of the forum that addresses such topics (I think it's "Audio and Interior" or something like that) a lot has been discussed by those who have done mods - some have gone ALL OUT, not that you should.
