Talking Convertible top switch

Ok, need to pick some one's brain or all your brains. I removed my 2 folding top hydraulic cylinders, yesterday. I have everything closed and buttoned up, except I can't lock the tonneau cover down until I get my new wrench. Will this cause my top button to flash on and off(only when the key in the run position), until the tonneau cover is locked. Is there some action I can take to stop its flashing until wrench arrives, such as a fuse removed maybe? Tape the 2 sensor connection on the 1 cylinder together? Any help greatly appreciated.

You can usually get a 10mm open end wrench thru the slot to lock the tonneau cover.

Trust me, I've already tried that, no go. I can live with the light blinking on and off for a short period of time. The more I think about it, I believe it has more to do with the 2 sensors on the one hydraulic cylinder as it wouldn't blink when the cylinder(s) were hooked up. I was opening an closing it manually then and not locking the tonneau cover then.

Did you try grinding down the 10 mm to make it thinner?

I didn't have to, mine was thin enough, but he could grind down a cheap one.

No, I've ordered one from ECS Tuning store. Don't have a bench grinder any more. I can wait.

The tonneau cover switch senses the not locked condition until you latch the 10mm down.
