Default ecu tune feeler - 11-01-2009 , 12:51 PM

UPDATED LIST

hi everyone. i have been emailing tony at eurocharged and basically begging him to come to the middle tn or atl. area to do a dyno tune day.
well he finally said if i posted a feeler and helped him find a shop he would see if we can pull this off.
think about it, middle tn is less than 600 miles from 2/3 of the population of the usa!! this is a great oppurtunity to get a custom tune from what i believe is the premier tuner in the country at this time.
so if anyone is interested post up here and lets get this done. everyone can use a tune and most want one. so lets do it!!! :zoom:

this is also posted on mbworld.org hoping to draw a bigger crowd

looks like we got the magic number!! ill be emailing tony and see what the next step is
1. 32krazy!
2. bmorgan
3. buggin
4. xray retuning
5. coyote

180 pte tsat, tighed1's supercooler, separated coolant system

It is of worth to note, that to make this happen all that is needed is 5 new tunes with deposits... very doable.

32krazy!,

just as a note for you, cause I can see how much you want this to happen.

email greg@eurocharged.com AND tony@eurocharged.com and talk ome more to them. get greg to come on here and post up about it (in this thread or a new one) and make sure deposits are had. that is the best way to do it, and deposits are needed as a confirmation of sorts for the tuning. that way they know who all is coming from more than just a list on mutliple forums.

thanx. tony was the one who emailed me today and suggested i put the feelers up to see if 5 folks wanted the tune. i suggested nashville for its central location but also thought atl. or memphis as possibles. i have sent him maybe 20 or dyno shops in the middle tn. area so hopefully this will happen. im hoping sometime in the new yr. when the weather is decent but cold so i can make big power!

if i can get 5 folks to commit to wanting a tune then ill have tony step in to set up deposits and a dyno day and place.

im sorta new at this group buy stuff but i think the cost is dependent on the number of people. i know there has to be at least 5 people putting up a deposit for tony to fly down and do the tunes. maybe he can elaborate

i do know when they tried to setup a dyno tune at the dragon the cost was going to be 600$ plus the dyno time approx 1 hr. maybe 75$ more?

If there is enough interest / depostis for the tuning day then its generally $600/tune if there 5 people and knock at least $50 off of that per person for every 5 over that....

Don't quote me on that, like I said Greg or Tony at Eurocharged can give you exact details of how they want to set it up. The cost of the tune depends on the car also... some of the bigger MBs (the 55k, 63, and 65 V12 TT engines cost more).

$600 is what it costs for the 32 and 32k engine (M112 and M112k aka C320/SLK320/Crossfire and C32/SLK32/SRT6 respectively)

That is a starting point, but like I've said and will say again... I suggest going to Greg or Tony at Eurocharged. They can give specifics and clear up any confusion for anyone wanting a tune.

It may start out at a lower price point from the get go, but $600 is the most it would start out at for any crossfire/SRT6.

not sure if im doing it the right way but was going to wait for 5 who definately wanted a tune and were like me waiting for a place close to get the dyno tunes. then contact tony and get the pricing. hopefully we can get close to 10 and bring the price down a bit. being so central to so many it seems like a good thing to get started.
tony of course is welcome to chime in at anytime but i didnt want to bother the crew until i had 5 then start going thru the deposit process

I would definitely be in for Atlanta as a first choice and Chattanooga as an alternate. You may want to have people that are interested to submit their location preference. Thanks

i was kinda leaving that up to tony. of course i would love for it to be a nashville shop but if he wants to do atl or chatt. i would gladly drive the 4 hrs to atl. i think it will depend on flights for tony and a shop with the equipment he needs to do the tunes.
im sure if it was left to the members everyone wants the place closest to them!! im sure conflict would ensue so i think its best left to the master tuner

But will go where ever it is at, Sunday would be the best day for me.

What time frame are you/Eurocharged looking at? Say if there were 5 deposits by next week, when would they want to do it?

Bill,

The only thing I know of as far of tuning days that are off the possible days is the weekend of 11/21 right now, Tony and/or Jerry will be out in LA doing tuning. Other than that it is all about whatever is decided as a consensus or more likely popular vote between the Crossfire and MB guys.
