Another TVT Monster!!! -
02-05-2010
, 08:07 PM
Here are the details:
- 185mm Eurocharged Pulley
- 70mm SC Pulley
- SL55 Intake
- TVT Aluminum Intake Tubes
- Needswings Devil Horns (absolutely sick in person!)
- KN Filters
- Gasket matched plenums
- Code3 Spacers
- SL55 Fuel Pump
- TVT 48 lbs/hr Injectors
- Custom Dual Exhaust
- E55 Heat Exchanger
- Upgraded Coolant pump (Porsche...)
No numbers yet, literally just finished it. We are going to the Dyno on Tuesday. It's a Dynapack so we're looking at 360-370RWHP. Stock cars put 250-260 RWHP down on it.
Pics will come tomorrow, too tired now...

How do you feel about putting a spread sheet for the NA's?
Let's face it; we can't do what our SRT brothers can, so lay us out a list that offers the Bang for the Buck options.
We simply cannot aspire to the SRT level!
However, we still want to have a little more fun.
Please do not refer me to the posts! I think it's evedent by your post; this is a moving target!
Top Down as soon as I can melt this snow!

What do you mean we can't do what they can? With a stock motor maybe, but there's no real limit to fast you can make a car go. How fast do you want to go, or better yet how much do you realistically want to spend?

Photos posted under "Ron's Car" TVT Design, Crossfire Performance Parts - Customer's Cars
We have posted a list of mods on our "Free Stuff" section of our website for the NA.
This is not the car getting the SLK55 brakes.
The LET spacers are too thin to allow for the Injectors to fit.
This thing NEVER goes lean!

We'll have all that on Tuesday with the dyno run. It's about 20 degrees here.
The other car we did with a similar set up held under 14.0 in 30-40 degree weather and with smaller injectors then this one.

You could just got with the CM90 instead of the CM30 though I believe the CM90 requires a good bit more modification to make work.

The thing with the coolant system is you need to have a pump that works in conjunction with overall cooling surface area as well as overall coolant volume. Some may think a pump that flows 50+gph would be great, but in reality it will pass by a small system so quickly that very little heat will be dissipated.
This pump is ideal for the E55 HE upgrade and a small coolant reservoir (not installed). If we were to do something crazy like we're attempting on another SRT, then a bigger pump would be justified. We're squeezing a monstrous HE (customer's choice) and seperate coolant tank into the car and will most likely run a CM90.
The CM30 is more then adequate for 90% of applications.

That is crazy! Regarless of running lean or not, aren't you worried about over-reving the supercharger?? I can see running the 178 + C3, but a 185 + C3 would be harmful to the supercharger, wouldn't it? I suggest running meth through that thing so it doesn't melt!

We are running a 185mm and a custom ground Stock SC pulley. It is just under the limit.

Just how much can these engines handle? With that level of boost and
the fuel to go with it, aren't you worried about popping a valve? Dude,
that setup is wicked! Can't wait to see your dyno numbers.

This is the second one we've done. We are limited on being able to fit our injectors with the availability of C3 spacers. I would look into manufacturing them, but the R&D cost won't support the limited market. Eventhough this doable with the C32 guys as well (we did one of those).
