They are changing out the rear shocks. So you are right,
they are using shotgun approach to fix.
Well if you are getting new parts installed for free then that's a good deal in my book. Have them change away

Had any suspension work done lately? I forgot to put bushing on one of the shock tower bolts that caused an awfull thump one time.

Or maybe the hatch latch has play in it? Tried grabbing the wing and pulling up and down it shouldn't wiggle at all.

I haven't had any work done on the car except oil changes.
I did check the trunk latch. I just got call from dealership that they can't fly out shocks because gas filled under pressure. I am getting to the point of, 'What Ever'.

New rear shocks come in tomorrow. Don't know if they will get them on
tomorrow though. I hope it fixes the issue.

Picked up car last night. New shocks took care of the thump.
Love the extended warranty.

Notwithstanding all the purists out there, but can you buy and install any shock you want in this thing?

yes, you can buy any shock that will fit the Crossfire or R170 chassis......

edit: if you buy one not rated for the car, it may fit... but you wont like it and it could be very unsafe for handling....
