Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#

Great looking SRT6 in Graphite Gray. The previous owner never sent an email to register the car previously, don't even know if they knew about the forum. Your forum name will appear at the next database publication.
The SRT6.com site is a separate site that provides various services or parts to the SRT6 community, it's handled by FUBU (Phil) another forum member. There are times when he does not respond to owners that want to add their photos to his site, be patient.....
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your SRT6!

Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
I have been a member for some time but i am just getting my 2005 SRT back up and running after being in storage. I will try and stay active and answer as many problems i have encounter to the others. I believe i have encounter most of the issues which are numerous.
Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
My SRT6 is vin 6X064173 2006 and it has the SRT6 slant letters on both front fenders as well as the trunk lid. The letters on the seats are straight like 2005 as well as the Tack letters.
This may be due to the fact that is one of the first 2006s made and they use the left over seats and tach? I do not know.

The 2006 SRT6's imported to the USA had all of the 2005 emblems on the car, seats, dash and the one SRT6 badge on the rear deck lid, for what ever reason. Chrysler had intended for the USA customers.
Those sold in all other countries, having the slanted, larger emblems on the front fenders above the strakes only, no rear emblem. The interior had the slanted emblem on the tachometer and seats. This signage was in the same font as the SRT8's and SRT10's (RAM trucks).
A previous owner of your car applied the new SRT6 slanted emblems to the fenders, as well as the rear deck, to ID it as a 2006 model SRT6. It was their way of proving it was a 2006.
I hope this clears up the confusion Chrysler created in their production and distribution of the SRT6.
Enjoy your car....

Thanks for the follow up. I believe you are correct on this 2006. I am going to leave it alone. It looks great as it is. I don't need the Crossfire on the trunk. I would rather people try to figure out what it is.
From your list it appears that it is a very early 2006 and I wonder how many Left Hand Coupes in Machine Grey actually made it to the USA? I thought I saw somewhere that there was one other one in Puerto Ricco?

Since the database is incomplete, there are 2 other Machine Gray SRT6's delivered to the USA, #64171 and #68851 (Puerto Rico). No one has reported in another Machine Gray in the USA to me, nor have I found another to date.
So you have one of three Machine Gray's shipped to the USA, as of the latest database.

Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
I didn't have a prior owner listed for this SRT6, but I previously found the VIN# off an insurance site that indicated this car had a salvage title, due to an accident. The insurance company declared it as a total loss. It must have been sold at an auction used by the insurance company.
Did your "friend" do the repairs on this SRT6?
I've added your forum name to the existing line in the database, welcome aboard!
