Default SRT^ starts n won't start

Last Monday eve the car would not recognize the remote unlock so I unlocked manually and alarm sounded . Put key in ignition and attempted to start which it did 3x then nothing. All the while alarm sounding. Did the usual, changed battery in both fobs and still nothing. Had to have car towed to dealer and they tell me the car starts at times. When they go to test when it does not start it goes back to starting.

I had the Skreem replaced back in June. I recently replaced the battery after having all sorts of issues with it and come to find out it was a dead cell.I don't want to pay them just to replace sensors ,that would be a fortune. I mentioned to check the vacuum door lock pump.

A question, can the car start with a failure to the pump but it won't lock unlock?

Any help would greatly be appreciated .

Have you had your RCM replaced or resoldered? From what I've read many mystery start issues are with bad solder joints. Also, I think other folks have also indicated a bad CPS which should be replaced with an OEM (i.e., Bosch) not a cheap aftermarket one.

BTW, after changing key fob batteries did you reprogram the keys to pair them with SKREEM?

Yes I understand the Cps and RCM being an issue with the no start. When I replaced the scream the RCM solder looked perfect. I have not replaced the Cps bt out of it all that does not explain the door lock situation or does it?

No I think the door lock situation is independent issue of CPS or RCM. Sounds like a key fob battery/reprogramming issue or issue with SKREEM.

I would send your RCM to DJ (+$27) to resolder joints and test relays. I had no issues with mine and did it as a preventative maintenance for a known failure point (based on observations it sounds inevitable). Not sure a visual inspection would be adequate.

You can mail the RCM to D.J. Tighe (tighed1 is his forum handle).
send him an email at tighed1@hotmail.com

Seems to be a problem with the SKREEM on these cars. I have replaced mine on my roadster (twice after a year they break). Just had to replace one on my coupe last June (6 months ago).
