thanks--we'll see when I put voltage to it. the cite is a $520.00 value these days--I went to my old academy and spoke with the c.o., a retired motor officer. he said that the photo intersections are beginning to be removed, because they are sub contracted out to security companies and the local muni just doesnt know how they are being operated-- until they get enough complaints-- they classically shorten the ambers to around 4 seconds and bump the photo trigger up by 4/10ths of a second. but they all take video as well. my photos look legal. I was told to check with the court clerk about how I can submit "evidence in absencia" - In orange county and LA county, that meant a form called a writ of declaration. It generates a paper trail of your side of the story, instead of just verbal attempts and a guilty gavel. the courts hate the extra paper, because it makes them look bad. its in the archive. the verbal complaining in front of a judge isnt recorded, which is how they filter it out of the archival body. the writ usually gets dismissed. my teenaged nephew beat a speeder and a red light violation this way-- they don't advertise it for obvious reasons. I get stung about every ten years or so-- this kind of misdemeanor cost 320 back then.

It's unethical for law enforcement to rely on fines for their budgets-- SUPER conflict of interest--if they need the dough, how will anyone ever expect to get exonerated?

I added backin a pcm wire that i thought was abs last sept. It supplies 8 volts to my cam and crank sensors. oops! and the comm twisted pair got cut going to the dash, so it's reconnected at the engine again. I needed to lengthen them anyway, and the abs wires to the rear of the sedan were the only ones long enough to reach to the dash-
so I am reusing them.

and the dash tail is still losing weight- power window and steering and seats, belts, park lamps, courtesy lamps. stuff I am leaving connectable tails for with labels if I need them later. the turn signal ind lamps in the instrument were a double take as I will need them, but will use the vw t/s wires and the chr switch.

so i finally got the dash and the detroit harness together- a beginning. the wound up dark wires on the left foreground are the fuel pump leads.they will need to be shortened.

I actually started designing the hybrid circuits today--chrysler ign sw feeding ign-on power to rail 15 in the vw fuse box and such- theres a few circuits/items that need integrating-- chrysler sw with vw wiper motor--chr headlight sw with vw headlights--decided to not use the speed proportional steering valve on this system- I would possibly have to install the chry steer rack too, which shoots me in the ***, so forget it. turn signals use chry switches and relays with vw ext lights.
I draw out the systems from each book first, condensing them to one sheet with all the wire sizes and values. studying one for a while, until i understand how the juice flows and why. then finding equivalent wires in each system i can splice where needed. the horn system is designed. the hazard/ turn signal system is coming along.

A neighbor friend once told me " if you take care of the little things, the big things take care of themselves" he could scratch build a big block sprint car in a little over a month and paint it too. by himself.

in this phase, every time I read a previous post, I am reminded of just how much i have learned since it was posted.
I just finished the headlight circuit, using all chrysler systems and vw headlights. the van has four headlights, two of which are bright only, but chrysler's 15 amp fuses surpass vw's 10 ampers--2 each. the wipers will work up front with the chrysler stalk sw, but I need a 3 position spring loaded toggle for the rear wiper/washer set. one speed.
I am about halfway done designing the hybrid circuits. splicing is next, and should go fairly well with the proper schematics now. this is getting fun.

the last two weeks were spent designing hybrids on paper. now that I have a roadmap, the splicing can finally move forward. this is the L headlight well where the wire harness penetrations are.

and the stereo amp in the eagle was in the trunk, so i used the tail for that to stert connecting the dash to the er.

much to do--I aligned the front wheels today-- i want to weigh it front to rear for the factory deviation numbers--I will make a road vid when I get a couple more issues sorted out, like having a temp guage--
