Default Should I buy a Crank Position Sensor

I read here and on Facebook that the Crank Position Sensor is prone to failure.

Just wondering if I should purchase one from the States to keep just in case and before it fails as it's only $50 considering I have 122,000k or 75,000 miles on my clock and don't want to be without my car as these items are much more expensive in Oz and harder to get hold of quickly.

Here are two items I am looking at. If someone can confirm they are the right items it would be much appreciated.

Well, looking at both links, I do not see anywhere that the original manufacturer is Bosch.
The common sentiment on the forum when it comes to CPS sensors is "Go Bosch, or don't go home"

I personally however have been on a non-Bosch CPS sensor for well over 2 years now.

Yes! Order a Bosh sensor and keep it, and the tools to swap it in your glove compartment. It's a 5 minute roadside fix and you'll thank yourself later.

And it's on sale for $35. Your Parts Search Returned 2 Part(s)

I cant find Bosch ones on eBay and for $50 its probably worth having a spare if needed. However I will wait to hear from the more experienced on this forum, but if the Bosch is a lot more it's probably not worth it till it fails, if it ever does.

Must add that I don't rate Bosch as I have had a number (5 or 6 items) of their home appliances, I know thats different to car parts, but all have failed early and cheaper products have continued to work on and on.......you don't always get what you pay for !!!

I do stand to be corrected by you guys who have much more experience than me and I will probably do what's recommended here.

They should ship international. I got stranded and had to shell out $150 for a new one at the Benz dealership. This one is a steal.

Just looked and tried to order one but they want $70 to post so thats a no go.... Just got something else from the States recently that was bigger with only $30 postage so that is a bit excessive. Will have to keep looking. I would have paid $30 postage but not $70.

Wow you are very helpful, thanks. Just looked and they don't have a very user friendly website so bit hard to navigate and just on way out so will look over the weekend and see if I can order one from them. Pity I can't get it on ebay as that is so so easy.

Is the SRT6 CPS the same - or a different part number?
Just checked compatibility on this ebay listing and they say it's not suitable...

Must say that most ebay compatibility lists that I have searched for parts say not suitable for a Crossfire but they are. It just means the seller hasn't added this car to the list. Part number is always the best to go on.

Also Indelibility, it should be a Bosch as its printed on the actual product and it says Bosch in the title so hopefully it is. Hope I have better luck with this Bosch product than past experience of things made by Bosch !!!

I also noted that they have sold 53 of them so I did a search on all his feedback, good and bad, and no comment came up for this item.
