Default Universal Cold Air Intake (DIY)

I'm currently looking at two kits:

K&N Apollo K&N RC-5052AB: Apollo Cold Air Intake System Black | JEGS
AEM Universal CAI Kit AEM Induction Universal Cold Air Kit | JEGS

Aside from not knowing how I feel about the look of the Apollo, especially showing from my grille, I'm worried that tubing will not be long enough or if it's even the right size?

The AEM seems more realistic and gives all kinds of piping. What is the actual size of the OEM intake tubes? I see there is an optional silicone hose adapter to purchase for 3" to 3.25" diameter.

Would either of these work and which would you recommend?
