Default SRT6 Throttle Body Gasket / Spacer

My SRT6 has been idling poorly and while looking at it I noticed the throttle body gasket is torn... this may be allowing air to pass and giving poor idle. I have a cold air intake as well.

Only place I have found the gasket mentioned is at Needswings for $60. Is this our only option? What is the actual Chrysler part #?

I also read the SL32's didn't use this gasket / spacer, what do they use and can I switch to that?

Thank's for any help!

Tom

Thank you ala_xfire.

Have you tried that gasket? My concern is the NeedsWings website says that the Chrysler Parts film is incorrect and the image shown on the parts website doesn't look correct, but the NeedsWings version does, but they don't say what the correct part # is...

I don't mind buying the NeedsWings version if it is the best or only option, $60 for a gasket just seems a bit expensive.

Thanks again,
Tom

NO, I have not tried it, since I have an NA, not the SRT6.

$60 is a really small price to pay for the correct part the first time. Rob at Needswings will send it out and you'll know it will work. I've purchased several items and all where 100% perfect.

Peace of mind is getting what you ordered without worrying if it will fit.

Shipping from them kills many deals, postage is a beetch. His prices are not the cheapest by far so you get hammered twice, three times if you take the exchange rate into account
I prefer not to waste money on postage, just me I guess. I know people in AB are rolling in cash, so it must be OK for some.
Mind you the exchange rate is OK when you sell stuff.

Price is what you pay, value is what you get. I've done enough in my life on the cheep, those days are gone.

When it comes to MY car, what's a few extra bucks. Besides, Rob is a wealth of information when it comes to these cars and there is a price for knowledge.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I'm still young enough to be working and not worried about a fixed income. Couple that with living in AB where you correctly state money flows freely and life is great. It's true it still does.

To look for this part, I would end up burning more fuel and time (for me time is money) and after that would have come to the conclusion that I should have just purchased the part from Rob in the first place. Now I just do it the first right the first time. Click click and all done.

I'm the guy that paid way more than I should of to convert my NA to an SRT. Because I really like this car. Rob at Needswings and many of the forum members were instrumental in getting me to completion.

No one needs to drive a Crossfire. We all do so because we want to.

Don't have a dog in this fight but looking up the MB 2004 SLK32 AMG TB gasket ( 2004 MERCEDES-BENZ SLK32 AMG 3.2L V6 Supercharged Throttle Body Gasket | RockAuto )? Isn't this the same gasket as the one used for the 74mm TB mod on the N/A? It also seems the one from needswings is also incorporating a 'spacer' integral into its design.
