Hey this is Mike

And all I can say is Paul was great to me. We talk on the phone and made the deal. Next day Paul called me back and said he saw the exhaust that was for me and one of the tips had a little ding in it. He said he would send me a couple of pictures to my e-mail to see if I still wanted it or he would let one of the other member have a chance to buy it and I would get the first one from the shipment they would be getting in somewhere around mid march I think he said. Any way looked at the photos and kind of thought it was funny cause the ding was on the bottom side of the tip and not really on the very tip but down about 2 inches. And yes there were some scratches on the exhaust black body. But unless you were going to put your car in a car show with mirrors showing the underside you wound never see it. So called Paul back and told him I wanted the exhaust. Bought on Friday & got it Monday

Paul’s Tops in my book

Mike,

Glad you are happy and I chatted with Paul on this yesterday. He is very committed to us and told me about working with you as well. Thanks for the positive comments.

I just want to make sure that per my last email we all understand that Ansa is a B to B company and not B to C. The unfortunate communication snafu that Eric experienced is because of Paul beign out of the office and this being something that he was doing for us and not all of his team was aware.

We don't have a date yet for the original 10 that were ordered, for some strange reason they sent two in which was supposed to be the 10 ordered. I will keep you all updated as we await the remaining 10 or so.

Please if anyone has an issue in either contacting Paul or not getting any reply please PM me as Paul travels and may not always be able to give you an immediate reply.

Regards,

Nate

I will keep you informed but for now they are in route to ANSA US, but the eta is not yet determined. It is not going to be 16 weeks however.

Also on all those dimensions I think that Valk or one of these guys can get that to you.

I dont have them

Thanks

Nate

It was asked earlier in this thread, but I did not see an answer. Will this Ansa work on the SRT? Thanks

Anyone else remember a discussion on this?

The SRT6 has a larger diameter pipe than the na Crossfire.
The inlet on the Ansa is smaller than the pipe on the SRT6 therefore if installed you would need a reducer pipe to connect it.
There has been discussion about exhaust flow being reduced but I am not sure it is a significant enough amount that would reduce performance.
It is slightly reduced here on mine and I have no decrease in performance.
As a matter of fact with a ECU tune from Eurocharged I have achieved 187.7 HP to the wheels....up from 170 HP to the wheels.

Here is where the pipe would be reduced.... Ansa Muffler - Part # UN0827
Also see my mod to the Ansa....Ansa Muffler Modification - Part # UN0827

Shown here installed on my na Crossfire

i dont want to step on anyones toes here but i found the ansa on ebay for 106$ shipped. the link has 3 mufflers left. i bought 1 so if anyone else wants them here you are
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250566361369&viewitem= &sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

they also have a good price on the magnaflow universal x pipe for 84$ shipped. figured why not got one of them also!

NOS means they are authentic, not reproductions. Typically they are parts that have been warehoused for a considerable length of time. NOS parts are preferred when doing restorations and are often more expensive than reproductions. The picture of the muffler on the e-bay ad looks better than the one I got from Ansa last year. Mine had a bent tip and looked like it had been dragged behind a car. When I spoke with Paul about it he told me they were all like that. That's when I decided to do the stock tip swap. I'm very happy with it now!

Thanks for the explanation. Paul was good to me and I expect the credit after this weekend and then I can just wait and see what comes about.

the ansa muffler un0827 is no longer made from what i understand. thus nos is the last of the remaining mufflers produced. as the add states there will be minor dents to the body (which noone can see) but the tips are supposed to be perfect. ill let you know when i get mine.
something for the srt-6 group. these mufflers have a 1 7/8 opening stepped into a 2" opening into the body of the muffler. small for the srt-6 exhaust. he measured it at the body weld and said it could be cut there and a 2.5 welded in its place. i have to customize it anyway for it to fit my needs so it didnt matter
just wanted ya'll to be informed

I just got one 5 minutes ago. I emailed the seller, and he re-listed one for me to buy. Not sure if he has any more, but his email is jason@bsmexhaustworks.net. I emailed him, and received a reply within the hour.
