No, the kit did not come with a canceller. I ordered it extra for $10 I think.

It was from hidlighting168. They were very responsive on email. I don't know if I needed the canceller or not but for $10 it was cheap piece of mind. I got the 5000K. Very nice and white and no blue. Lots of discussion here on what color to get, so you have to make a choice when you order.

Go to www.ebay.com and type hid headlights xentec crossfire. You'll be bombarded with choices. Do a sort on pricing from low to high. It shouldn't be more than about $30 plus the canceller. You may have to send an email to the seller individually if you want it. Ask the seller to bundle the two. This vendor gives a 2-year warranty but who knows what that means LOL

it is actually around the head light , my company sells side emitting led strips and they worked wonderfully!

You get everything you need and you can also get a choice of warranties.
Does this kit cause the "light out" indicator to come on? Is this the kit you installed? waht about the ballast size? slim or regular?(Will regurlar fit under the headlight housing?

Ask for the CANBUS option to avoid the light out bulb on the dash being lit after they are installed.

Difference between Morimoto XB 5500K HIDs and regular halogens. Corner marker is an OSRAM 6000k LED.

I'm looking at this morimoto HIDs, does this look correct? Want to keep from getting any flickering or dash lights and best longevity. Any comments?

H7: Moritmoto elite system
35W
H7 - 5500K
Morimoto capacitor link (anti flicker)
Morimoto XB Igniter (AMP)
Canbus H7

Thanks guys!

Save yourself some time and money in a large way. The one below works just fine "as-is" with no other requirements/parts. Pick what *K Kelvin you may need. $50 on Amazon.

I went with the whitest white but that made it incompatible with the other bulbs. If I had to do it again I would go with a lower Kelvin degree but a higher wattage to get a match. Some guys change them all and some guys don't care about a mismatch. Of course it you like to see yellow signs turn green the higher K is a necessity.

Hi Cudaman,

I got the morimoto's for both my lows and fogs.
I ordered the capacitor links and didn't bother putting them in.. The capacitor link actually made things worse with the canbus hid system.. It made them flicker a little... Not sure why.. Got rid of the link and everything went perfect.. So I wouldn't bother getting the capacitor links.. Less crap to hide as well lol.
Also I would recommend getting the higher watt ones.. 70 watt or whatever they are.. And bump up the color temp to 6500 if you are to get the brighter higher watt ones.. As those higher watt ones at 6500 would look exactly like the same color as the 35 watt 5500..

I should clarify that I'm talking about color only when I say mismatch. I figure you would get that.

Everyone has their own personal tastes for white/yellow/bluish. I sort of like the 6000K, and the smaller, thinner ballasts, 35W kit. The amount of time and labor to get them into the enclosure therefore won't pale in comparison to the cost of the Xenon kit itself. And, you can replace them cheaply as well. I've had them for years now (lows and fogs). Not sure about the increase in brightness vs the 65-70w kits. I don't drive curvy roads fast at night, so the 35W kit does fine by me.

Yup indeed everyone has their own preferences.. As for the capacitor links I don't think it's needed with the canbus morimoto hid system.. But if you are unsure, best call them to make sure as to what all would work best for you.

Fun question. installed the CANBUS optioned Xentec HID kit for both the headlights and the fog lights. I've owned this kit many times before and installed them on almost all of my other vehicles.

But with my Crossfire I experience a significant amount of static on the FM Radio when I turn one or both of the lights on. It only effects the radio, not bluetooth streaming or USB. Has anyone else experienced this? Battery is an AGM battery less than a year old. No corrosion on the connections and everything was sealed with dielectric grease. Again, exactly the same as I have always done.

Let me know your thoughts as it's annoying as hell to not be able to listen to my radio during the early mornings/night time.

Thanks
Mat

I've been using this kit for years now, works fine, no static. No extra hardware to install. Thin ballasts to squeeze into the engine compartment. $49. If you want to go through the install labor again.
