Default "Light Out" Indicator Lit, but no Lights are Out

I've been dealing with the Crossfire's lights for a while now. Started with HIDs, then replaced the 'eyelids' with LEDs, and most recently the license plate bulbs with LEDs. All LEDs have the built-in canbus circuit, so they have always kept the "light-out" indicator happy.

I've had some trouble with the driver's side plate bulb being seated properly, causing it not to light. After re-seating it the other day, it lit and the indicator went out. However today, when i started the car, the light-out indicator is on (even when the lights are off). I circled the car checking all lights, including fogs, indicators, brakelights, and back-ups and they are all good.

What could the problem be?

I changed the headlight standing light bulb (w5w) with a 194 led - looks great, but now the light out indicator is on. Is ther anyting I can do to fix this problem or do I have to put the w5w's back in?

Add a load resistor or get corrected bulbs?

Where do you add the load resistor?

Is there a led light out there that won't give me this problem?

Any help would be great as I really don't want to put the w5w back in.

Hello,
I also own a 2005 Crossfire.. Did anyone tell you where to add the load resistor for the exterior lamp out light staying on ?. My yellow exterior light out is on all the time even when lights are off . Only LED lights are on tag lamps on my car. I wanted to do all exterior LED lights but looks like this will not be possible unless someone can advise me how to install a canbus. Im new to this and wanted some help with the exterior lights . I see all these LEDS sold on Ebay for headlights and tail lights and side marker but not sure what ones are best to use for this car. I just got this car back in Oct and yet to register it until I get it fixed up , because this exterior lamp out may affect my states inspection.
Thanks for any help and way to go on this

replacing the "tag" lights are easy. Why not go back to original bulbs and see if your light out indicator turns off. If so, go that way to your state inspection.

Makes sense to me.
Go back to OEM lighting and start from there.
LED bulbs on their own will make the light come on, replace the whole license plate light units after the test, they have a built in resistor normally.
They are cheap and the lenses do not crack, details of them are all over this forum, you get them on eBay for ten to fifteen bucks a pair.
