Side tail light
Side tail light
I was in the doctor's office one day when a guy back into my car (Crossfire Convertible '06.) He bent no metal (a good thing) but he did break the side tail light on the driver's side. No problem, I'll just have it replaced; he agreed to pay for it; I took it to my dealership. They quoted $5,600+ for the fix. No, this is not a misprint FIVE THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED and some change. Now, of course, I'm not going to do that. I need the pigtail connector which holds the bulb so I can wire it into the car's system. Any ideas when I can purchase such?
Re: Side tail light
It's not the tail light, but the position light on the side of the rear panel. A VERY small little light. The dealership said they could only buy it with all the wiring from the bulb to the bus. So they'd have to go into the body of the car to run the wire. The light system probably isn't that expensive, but the labor is. All I need is the light's pig slot holder unit and I can re-wire the light into the car. But the dealership, unwilling to help me that way, refused. In fact they told me to go to an aftermarket dealer and buy that pig deal. No one has it. Bummer
