You can put me down as interested. You already know what I'm looking for in a hood and if it's not far off I'm in.

Note the "matching" 3 strakes..
Thanks for the ideas. I have tried taking the side vents we have on the xf and many other combinations on the hood. Our hood is simply too small for it too look good. The SLK itself I feel looking strange. The SL however is nice.

We will NOT make a cf emblem incorporated in the cf hood. The OEM emblem will be used. So some small holes will be needed to drill and or use adhesive.

Ok I will put you down as interested. Everytime I go out and take a look at the car I can see the waldig design work. anything else just looks silly. Just writing my thoughts as I need to wait 30 seconds until next post..

When design is ready
I do a new list where everyone interested must send me their details and agree with the approximately final design, that maybe hood pins may be necessary, and other factors that I have not come up with yet. Me and Fred at ViS have conversations daily and we are setting up a date where I am sending a car with DCAI so they can measure for clearance.
Just stay tuned and we will get this going.

Here is a thought and design.

Note that the rear is no scoop, it is an airvent. see explanation pic next.

The waldig design without spine in the middle. The spine looks good on computer. But I just cannot see it when I stand next to Albino. It looks strange...

Just been out checking the car. IRL the vent must try to start as high up as possible and have a small angle slant. Then it will look good. So start as high up as possible towards the windscreen. maybe mid of hood.

Spine is just about taste. But it is coming more and more towards the waldig one but with minor enhancements that the ViS designers will do.

With rounded edges as asked for.

How many would feel comfortable with something like this?

Is that as deep as the front vents can go due to clearance issues?

I will tell them to do as deep as we can. But we can do waldig depth at least.

Remember, these are just mockups for the ViS guys too see. So clearance and other stuff may change the final design. But this is the idea they will use when they start. It is a Waldig + Firepower = SRT-6.com design. Tried my best to make it look good. and as deep as possible the vent will be so it also will be functional.

I'd be in for this one. I think it looks a lot better with the spines and rounded edges included. Without them it looks too blocky (that's not a word, lol) to me. Kinda like these pics

Take a closer look to the latest design. It is what you are after.

It has spine
Long slanted vents
Rounded edges

I can enhance the vent spines tomorrow if you like. But the white is representing the spines. So it looks like the pics you showed above.

Have to agree.. those vent spines make it look like a designed hood instead of an afterthought for vents..

I'm sure if you sent those 3 pics to ViS they could add their expertise and we would have a winner! Nice job.
