Gap Between Hood and Bumper Cover
Gap Between Hood and Bumper Cover
I was involved in an accident a couple of weeks ago that involved a deer. Damaged was my hood, bumper cover, and headlights. I got the car back yesterday and am overall pretty pleased with the work. I do have two issues with fit and finish I'd like an opinion on. It seems like there is a bigger gap between the hood and the bumper than there should be. Attached is a picture. If you stand at the right angle, you can see the bolt that holds the grille in place.
Also, toward the windshield, the hood feels like it is mounted just slightly lower than the fender pieces. If you run your finger across the two, it doesn't feel exactly flush. Could someone with greater knowledge of how the hood and bumper are installed please offer me some advice before I call the shop? Thanks so much.

Re: Gap Between Hood and Bumper Cover
Any decent shop should know how to fit and finish this. It's inexcusable for them to return the car to you like this. Either they put the support brackets back on incorretly or didn't adjust them appropriately when they did the work. I'd have to look more closely behind the scenes but buttom line is, they should know how to adjust both the hood and the bumper brackets to align them correctly. Take it back.
