Mine's a daily except for when it snows. Then it takes a break in the driveway covered usually. Right now the snow is cleared off the streets and it's around 30 to 40 degrees during the day.

Aww I see.. Winters are too harsh here for the crossfire. Probably won't be taking it out for yet another month and a half.. Start of May probably.. Depends on how quickly the white stuff melts lol

I am a clean freak though with it, I wash it at least twice a week if not more if I do drive it around while there's still snow around. I just never drive it if it actually snows and the snow is on the roads at all.

Best not to drive it on snow and ice.. Would be hard to stay on the road I'm sure lol. I have 12 inch wide tires so there is no way it could handle any winter weather

No I never even attempt to drive it in snow, I drive a 2006 altima for that occasion.

After looking at your awesome list of led lights for our xfire.. Which are the only lights on this car that you guys haven't found a canbus led for?

It's not that I didn't find any, I found all of them in canbus. The problem is that not all canbus LEDs I found were reliable.

Ok, let me rephrase lol. Which lights on the car still give you a lights out indicator after the led mod?

My brake lights, and reverse lights basically. Everything else is canbus enabled and works well. To be fair, I chose to use non canbus LEDs for my brakes and reverse. They are quite a lot brighter than the canbus versions.

But I guess that even with the canbus version for the brake lights and reverse it will still triggers the lights out on dash? Nobody has yet found a compatible reverse and brake led? Is that correct?

I've read so many posts about high beam lights.. So many different opinions on what to put there.. I believe that a halogen is the only way to go for now, but what brand of halogen?? That is the million dollar question.. I want one that would be of similar color as the hid light I will be installing in the fogs and lows... Which type do you think are as white as possible for the highs? What are you running?

I doubt you will find a close match between halogen and HID, even if the say they are the same temperature, like 4700 K.
At least not to my eye.

Ya that's what the majority have been saying, but what would be the best option closest to it?

According to the list at the start of this post it states that the turn signal is also non canbus? Is this correct? Brake lights non canbus but the reverse lights states that it is canbus.. Now I'm confused Adrian.. Can you clarify this please.. Thanks

White halogen bulbs means they are pushing the max lumen a halogen can push, which means short lifespan.

My advice, if you want to go with something decent, would be to get 65watt osram H7 bulbs for the high beams. Or just stick to 55watt bulbs and leave the high beams be.

HIDs in the high beams are fine too, but just remember to leave the high beams on for at least 2 minutes if you do turn them on. Fast flicking on/off isn't a good idea for bulb and ballast health.

Thanks Adrian,

Ya I might just leave the high beams be for now and deal with those later once I put in the hid in the lows and fogs.

I was looking at the list at the start of the thread and it states that the reverse lights are canbus? Is this correct.. And that the turns are not canbus.

You said that your reverse were not? Can you clarify on these please. Thanks

Also what is the eyebrow light? Is there an led for that one in the list or is it just called something else on that list?

I was wondering if it is possible to find clear front and rear marker light covers. Instead of the read and yellow plastic. That way when lights are off the clear color would go well with my white car. And when the lights would be on the red and Amber led would give out the appropriate marker color..
Any thoughts?

I have different reverse LEDs, CREE types instead of the superbrightleds ones I linked. I went that route on my own because of the increased brightness but loss of canbus.

Awesome.. Thanks.

I am looking for clear side markers, front and back.. Can't seem to find anywhere... Saw some on the needswing website but to my eyes they look like they protrude outward... I would like them flush mount like the OEM..

Those canbus reverse lights are available in a few different color.. I assume that the one we need would be the white ones correct?

Do we need to order the load resistor kit with them as well or the reverse canbus lights? It's apparently an option..
