This is my version of a rear lighted badge. It's hooked up to the tail and brake light circuit. Thought it would be a cool add-on. I know some will think it's "a bit much" and kind of "ricer". Hence, that's why I have an on/off switch inside the car so I can turn it off when I want. Hope you enjoy it.

How did ya do it??

 

Started out with buying an old emblem from Ebay just in case things didn't work out I could go back to stock emblem. Removed old wing and glued a 1/8 of acrylic the shape
of the wing to the back with a hole in the middle to house a small round led cycle light that I bought. Drilled hole in hatch to run wires and glued the wing back on, the emblem does stick out 1/8 more but is not a big deal. The hardest part was running the wires thru the hatch down thru rubber wire harness in body to the rear light to complete wire connections, wasn't too bad and enjoyed doing it.

Well done! How does the light come through the "Made in Germany CROSSFIRE" logo decal?

 

I bought a rebadge insert that is made of thin plastic at crossfireaccessoriesandmore.com web site. The led light was bright enough to shine thru, along with the clear acrylic in the back that shines around the outside, some trail and error I guess.

 

Very inventive, I think it looks Factory original. Real nice.

 

Looks good and unique. Would love do to it though not sure if I want to drill a hole in the hatch.
