I have added a new "feature" to the site. I have made four different sponsorship options for people who are interested. All the sponsorship options come with some benefit to the members of the forum who choose to use them. Here are the details:

Forum Sponsor - $20/yr

• You are designated a Forum Sponsor
• Your username is made bold
• Your private message storage is increased and you can message 10 members at a time instead of 5
• All advertisements are removed from the site

Forum Super Sponsor - $40/yr

• You are designated a Forum Super Sponsor
• Your username is made bold and underlined
• You can send longer pager messages
• Your private message storage is increased and you can message 20 members at a time instead of 5
• Your profile picture can now be 200x200 instead of 100x100
• Your avatar size can now be 120x120 pixels instead of 80x80
• You can make your own custom User Title (shown under your username)
• All advertisements are removed from the site
• You are allowed to advertise your business or products you are selling in your signature as long as it isn't specifically selling Crossfire or automotive products

Forum Commercial Sponsor - $20/month (automatically recurring)

• You are designated a Forum Commercial Sponsor
• Your username is made bold, underlined and will be a different color than other usernames
• You can send longer pager messages
• Your private message storage is increased and you can message 25 members at a time instead of 5
• Your profile picture can now be 200x200 instead of 100x100
• Your avatar size can now be 120x120 pixels instead of 80x80
• You can make your own custom User Title (shown under your username)
• All advertisements are removed from the site
• You are allowed to advertise your business or products you are selling in your signature including Crossfire and automotive products

Forum Super Commercial Sponsor - $40/month (automatically recurring)

• You are designated a Super Commercial Sponsor
  Your username is made bold, underlined and will be a different color than other usernames
• You can send longer pager messages
• Your private message storage is increased and you can message 50 members at a time instead of 5
• Your profile picture can now be 200x200 instead of 100x100
• Your avatar size can now be 120x120 pixels instead of 80x80
• You can make your own custom User Title (shown under your username)
• All advertisements are removed from the site
• You are allowed to advertise your business or products you are selling in your signature including Crossfire and automotive products
• You can provide us with a 728 x 90 advertisement that will randomly rotate with other adds on the top and bottom of the page

PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS

First, I would like to say thanks to everyone who has joined and is an active member here. While I have not been here much lately, I have made sure the forum is always working. There are actually many problems that crop up with these forums that need to be fixed from the back-end. I would like to be more active here, but I have been working on a number of projects that have kept me very busy and were just more important and actually producing revenue. These projects are what keeps this forum running. I know some of you have tried contacting me, and I've been bad with responding, but due to these things I haven't been able to put much time or energy in the site.

CrossfireForum.org is not in any danger of shutting down or anything of that sort. I've said it before -- it really doesn't cost me much at all to run since it is hosted on a server I use for my other projects, which are doing well. However, especially with the economy how it is, and the fact that I just bought an engagement ring and wiped out most of my savings, I guess having a bit of a cushion is always nice. I've hosted this site for more than 6 years and only for a brief period did I even display ads on the site. Many of you have expressed interest in helping out in some way, and I have refused any attempts at this up until now. I have decided to change my stance.

I can't stress enough that you should not feel obligated to sponsor the forum. Even if I didn't put up the ads or have this sponsorship idea, CrossfireForum will not be shutting down at any point that I can visualize. Since it's bound to be a classic, I know people will be interested in discussing it for many, many years to come.

Posting personal information (phone numbers, addresses, etc.) about other members on this forum is not allowed
Any member who posts personal information about another member will be banned for a week, and if it happens again, they will be banned permanently.
It is in bad taste, and is borderline harassment.

Also, there is an ignore function on the forum. If you have a problem with a member please feel free to use it. Personal attacks and harassment are not welcome, and will also get you a ban. If you do not like the posting style, opinions, or threads and posts a member makes, please use the ignore button.
