Default Magnaflow Catback for $350. - 05-12-2008 , 03:06 PM

Here's a great deal with wUnderCarParts (1-888-986-3373). You can call them and say you want the Crossfire forum deal of $350 plus shipping for a Crossfire Magnaflow 16633 Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust. Worse case shipping is about $50 directly from Magnaflow in VA or CA. You could pick up the order at Magnaflow if you want. Most shipping will be less and can be quoted over the phone. This is the absolute best price I could find after an extensive on-line search and discussions with vendors. Granted, some think this is still alot, but is MSRP is $730, and discounted prices seem to keep going up. The vendor says this is a limited time offer and I pushed him to his limits. There is no doubt that the price will go up.
Updated 4/17/10: I think the price before shipping has increased to $385. Still a good price.

I just ordered my exhaust system today. The price including shipping and handling was $370.00 to southern California.

I really don't know. Wish I could tell you. In my discussions with wUnderCarParts when I was trying to get the price knocked down, they wanted to sell at least 5 at the $350 discounted price to make it worth their while. I couldn't guaranty that, but told him that if I posted the price on the forum it would surely drum up some interest. I think they are considering it somewhat of a loss leader to get some exposure, but doubt the loss part? Who knows for sure? Anyway they finally agreed on that price. I do know 2 have been sold this way according to the responses on here, and I have had a couple of messages with questions indicating more interest. I was just trying to get the best deal I could. I guess they went for the $350 to see what would happen. I think they had it priced on sale for the same amount last year some time, but their cost has gone up several times, they say? Of course they reserve the right to pull the deal at any time! I don't think your going to find a better buy! Believe me, I tried!

By the way, I am not sure if this exhaust works directly for an SRT? Think I saw someone on here say it doesn’t.

Cool... thanks for getting that set up, its a great deal. I was gonna get Koni’s before exhaust, but for that price, I might switch theat order.

For my SRT, I would have to get a collector made, but the exhaust shop I use said that would be no big deal.

Good to hear you have it worked out. I'm not an exhaust expert. So, what is a collector? Would you remove the resonator that members say the SRT has. Just kind of curious? I don't have a SRT.
And yes the $350 does seem to be the best deal out there. I am thinking that price won't be there for long? On ebay the prices seem to be $500 plus?

They sold another yesterday.

Again, corfire, thanks for getting this put together. I've heard this system on Justin's car (z28toxfire) and it's fantastic.

When you remove the resonator, you need a collector to go from 2 pipes in to 1 out...

I just installed the new magnaflow exhaust system that I perched through the forums group buy board. Installation was easy, but I do recommend buying an exhaust donut stretcher tool. This tool made a big difference.

How hard is this to install? Looks easy based on instructions from web site.

Will it void the car warranty?

does the exaust really sound like a lamo??? If not what kind of car would you compare it to? Is it worth buying just for the sound, is it loud enough? I have and srt-6 will it work on my car, I hear about a collector box but has any one actually had it installed on an srt-6. Sorry for all the questions, I guess I am just currious and want to ensure I make the right purchase.

Thanks,

B

I don't have it on my car (yet) but it fits the SRT. You will need a collector only if you delete the resonator.

This system is 2 1/4 in. What is the Stock system on an SRT6? I would think it's bigger than that, but im not sure.

I got the word from Brad, the owner of wUnderCarParts (1-888-986-3373), that their phones have been ringing like crazy. So, if you call about the Magnaflow 16633 stainless exhaust for $350, you might have to leave a message and they will get back as soon as possible. The deal for $350 is still available.
