Default Heavy Duty Floor Mats. - 05-10-2008 , 11:19 PM

I am using some Rubbermaid Ultra floor mats from Walmart to save the original factory mats. They have a recess and rim to contain moister and dirt from getting on the carpet and fit very well. Here are a few pictures.

Dang those are deep. I bet you can use them to catch your oil when you change it.

if i was going to use a rubber mat... i would go with the factory rubber mats for a perfect fit... many owners don't even realize they are available.

Need them to contain spilled Big Gulps and the like. Also, works good for slush, mud, dog crap, etc.

They have factory rubber mats?!?!?!

*runs to dealership*

Hey OP, can you perhaps find a walmart link with these? They do seem to fit very well and this is exactly what I've been looking for. Now that it is spring I am tracking all kinds of little bits of green life into my car via my feet.. and the carpet never quite comes out perfect when vacuumed.

Yes, I sure did, and didn't do the best job! Just needed to make one slit at the base of the peddle. However, I ended up misjudging a bit and had to do it twice. Otherwise, they really fit perfect and there's not gap around the edge.

I bought mine at Walmart over a year ago. I was there a couple of days ago, and saw the same basic mat with a little different pattern. I think that they where called Rubber Maid Ultra II's. I have the same mat in my Tahoe in grey. They really contain the slush, snow and dirt that gets dragged in. However, I don't drive the Crossfire in the Winter! They are probably not as pretty as the factory rubber mats, but they do exactly what I want them to do.

Thanks for the name. I want them because it's spring out and I somehow always manage to track little green plants and dead leaves into my car. Hah!

Thanks again!

Bought a pair of Rubbermaid's at Sam's club. They were a great price. I want to say around $19.00. They fit great with some minor cutting. You do need to cut them to fit under the gas pedal. They hold water from melted snow/ice real well.

I also have a pair in work truck and wife's Mercedes.

I have the factory rubber mats. I got them for my first crossfire. They are not that great they are maybe 1/8 inch deep.
