Default E Brake Cover/Boot?

Anyone know if all car handle boots for the E Brake will work for the Crossfire?

I put a boot to my automatic shifter. Now im looking to do something similar to the handbrake.

Thanks.

(any suggestions which boot looks nice would be awesome!)

Redline Goods/Accessories makes a shift boot for Crossfire's but they don't offer an e-brake boot at this time. It wouldn't hurt to contact them to see if they'd be interested in making one. As with any car parts manufactuer, if they get enough demand for something, chances are they'll likely produce it. I'd be down to sign up for a group buy.

I went ahead and shot them an email this morning. They actually specialize in making custom interior accessories for cars that are currently unsupported. However, reading over their policy they would normally have you ship them your stock part and they'd replicate it but in leather with whatever custom touches you are looking for. Being as our cars lack an actual e-brake boot, I sent them an image our our e-brake setup and offered to drive my car up for them to use as a test mule. They're located in Wilmington DE, about 2 1/2 hours north of my location in Northern VA. I wouldn't mind doing a roadtrip for some custom goods.

I will keep you posted on what they reply with. If they're down, maybe we can put together a group buy.

*Edit - I just read all the comments on this thread for the first time. johnnycross413, I see that you had also referenced Redline Goods. Had you already emailed them? Sorry to steal your thunder, I hadn't even noticed that they had already been mentioned in this thread......lol.

Just got a reply back from them! I'll make some measurements asap and get back to them. Does anyone know if the rubber e-brakes surround is glued to the center console?

Hi Josh

We definitely would!

We can easily do that if you could help us with some dimensions. Firstly, we'd need to know if the stock rubber ebrake surround can be easily removed. Somebody told me it's glued into the center console, could you please double check that? If you take pictures while removing the center console you'll be half done with the install write-up by the way.

Once we establish that, it's only a matter of a few dimensions:

- the distance from the bottom edge of the surround to the ebrake lever fully raised (measured to the point on the ebrake handle where the top of the boot should be located, probably about 1" from it's end by the metal part of the lever I think)
- the distance from the top edge of the surround to the ebrake lever released (to the point on the handle where the top of the boot should be located, probably directly above the point where you measured the previous dimension)
- the circumference of the handle at this point.
- the size of the ebrake rubber surround opening (length and width)

If you have trouble deciphering this description please send me some pictures and I'll draw the dimensions on them for you to measure. Here's a picture that explains it: http://www.redlinegoods.com/ebrake_design.jpg

You must have not looked very hard. Redline offers total customization on all of their products.

Here is the link to their Crossfire shift boot: Chrysler Crossfire 2003-08 shift boot - RedlineGoods leather shift boot store

You'll notice that if you scroll down you'll see a box that says "Select color & options".

Here are there options for material/material colors, thread colors, etc.

Wow, thanks.

I didn't even see that.

However, when I click select colors and options it doesn't actually click the button. It doesn't take me to the next page?

I contacted them directly (hoping for something in matching Cedar color, no luck) and they may respond to this thread directly.

Hi

You need to add something to the shopping cart before that button begins working.

Alternatively, you can find out the colors and styles we offer by browsing using the menu on top of the page.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to contact me in case of further questions. I’m here to help!

Have a great day,
Maciek

Hi Guys

We have the shift boot, the door pull covers (no pictures though, the first person to get me pics can get a 25% refund of the price paid for those) and we'd love to add armrest cover and ebrake boot.

As for the ebrake boot, we need the measurement.

As for the armrest, we'll need the original part to prototype a cover on.

And of course we need people willing to work with us on either or both of the above to get our parts for free following this program: Shift boot store - RedlineGoods leather shift boots

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to contact me in case of further questions. I’m here to help!

Have a great day,
