NEX members,

I'll probably regret this, but here goes. I would like to host a NEX outing/cookout at my house. I would like it to be on a Saturday afternoon and evening in the next month or so.

I will provide the pool, grill, firepit, music and facilities. We can do a pot luck type of event.

Everyone should chime in with a date that is good for you. Once we have a date nailed down then we'll concentrate on the menu.

Bruce, it will not be a clam bake unless you want to buy all the sea food. Dogs, burgers, salads, drinks. The usual.

Stan, I'd be honored to attend. Date doesn't matter a whole lot. That being said, I won a $4,000.00 weekend package from Inskip motors. It's a weekend in Newport with a car (Audi A-6 convertable) and dinner at this posh place, the West Deck ,brunch at the Spiced Pear, in the Chanler Hotel which we will stay for one night. Personal Mansion tour from Newport Preservation. Golf at the Newport National.
Nice package. Problem is, I don't know exactly when it will be as they have to co-ordinate with all the places. The only one they are waiting for is the Chanler. What they will do is give me some choices of weekends. Hopefully it won't coincide with your get together. If I can sell my car for what I want, I will be driving a Yellow Xfire roadster with dk slate and cream int. If I can make it happen. Rick

It's a tuff market for selling anything these days. Good luck! I'm surprised you can't get the dealer to give you want you want seeing as sales are so low now. Either car, it will be good to see you.

This wasn't a deal I made, I simply went to this little thing they had for some free food and to look at some cars that I couldn't afford. I filled out this entry blank and waited and listened to this live band, in the tent. They drew a name, it wasn't mine, nobody came up so they drew another, it was my name. I won all that stuff and got free food to boot, saw some nifty cars and had a great time.
That was the deal. The car I get for the weekend, the weekend I do all the other stuff. Rules state that I can't leave the State with the car and can't go over a hundred miles. I'll take it.

This saturday the 26th is too close and I may have to work. I have another family party to attend on August 2nd.
