Default Nightmare back

Got called by body shop damaged parts taken off. They get called by the trucking company's insurance (ie our starving Wall St executives that redefine welfare) who's head office wants to deduct 25% ($1240) for illegal parking. Went thru GEICO and paid my $500 deductible to hopefully get it back after court hearings, lost tme(wages), etc. Of course tis news comes the day after I filled my heating oil tank.

I'm still trying to figure out the "heating oil tank" thing though. Where is that tank on our cars?

About this time of year we in New England heat homes with oil at $3.5-4.5 /gallon and have 275 gallon oil tanks to fill. Before the price increases in the bitter cold months. Mine was empty

Bruce, I feel real bad for you. I just filled mine too. Almost $600.00 gone in about 10 minutes. Guy didn't even kiss me afterwards either.
I still think you should call the insurance company and speak to the boss. Go right to the top and plead your case. It can't hurt. Anymore than filling the fuel tank at the house....

Tell them to go to HE** with their 25% !!
It shouldn't matter where you were parked. They were not following proper procedures for backing up the truck.
What if it was a child on a bicycle!! Or a mom (or dad) pushing a baby stroller!! Someone's house or garage!
As much as I'd hate to suggest it, I hope your getting a lawyer involved!
Have they drug tested the driver yet?

No tests on the driver for drugs/alcohol. I paid GEICO the 500 deductible and letting them go after it in court. Hopefully I'll get the $500 back. Beats 25% and I don't want to spend 6 months with no mirror and a crashed side.

Good for you and I had someone break my cell phone!! Bugger is, I was going to get him at a dealer who was fixing his van. He got in, hit the phone, it fell between the seat and the console, he moved the seat up to get a better access and whammo, LCD screen shot.

Rick, between us if it wasn't for bad luck we'd have no luck. Its nice to not have to drive a crashfire anymore...good luck on your phone. Thanx Rmaderman.

Yup, that seems to be the case. Don't know as if I can fix it right away but I will soon. Last time it cost eighty bucks. Better than the price of a new phone. Rick
