Default Crossfires of Canada want a GTG

Well folks, it looks like a GTG is in the wind for sometime soon. I'm waithing to hear from fiberboats on possible dates that we can all meet up.
The thought was that Kittery would be a good location, just a short drive to York where there is a lighthouse to see and photograph. There should be 3 or 4 Crossfires coming down from New Brunswick, Canada, for this GTG. It should be fun eh?

I'm open to suggestions, it should only be a day trip for most of us and we might have the folks from Florida joining us as well. (Hijacked from another post!)

Please feel free to jump in here and let's make this a fun thing with as many cars as we can handle. If need be, I'll try to contact the owner of the Chrysler dealership in York to help us out with a mini car show or something of that nature.

Steve Donelle called me, last night, while I was at a local show, to see if we could get something going. I'm awaiting his email to give me possible dates. They will be driving down, an 8 hour trip, and staying the night before, meeting up with us for breakfast and a day of fun for all. There's great shopping and fun things to do in and around Kittery.
Thanks, Rick

Steven, still trying to get something going. Hopefully we can get this thing on the map and have a great time. Nightrider, blackxfire, robbie363 are all folks that I spoke with about this. Let's see if we can get more and make it happen. I know I'll be there. Just trying for a better tunout. There's got to be some folks from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as Rhode Island and Connecticut and Massachusettes to hook up with Come on NEX, this is multi country happening, that's got to mean something.

Rick,
Definately get this going. Me and the wife will be up for it. It should be close enough for Phil. Mabe on the day that they don't have to babysit. I assume Robby will be up for it. Even Bruce might make it? Who knows.
We can always throw a Cape Cod cruise together easy enough. There is a great museum in Sandwich. with antique cars and other stuff.

Sounds like a great fall foliage tour GTG. We could hook up and do Rt 100 in Vermont, A cape run would be good too. Lets talk at the next show.

Now we're doing some talking. I like the idea of the cape. I think we can make something happen in or around the date suggested by Steven. I have been to the museum that Stan is talking about and I know that they are open to a lot of things. Sandwhich is a great little town too. Maybe we can get a car show going with just our cars at the museum.
Stan, if that sounds like something you can call on, please do so and let me know ASAP. Tentatively Sept. 26th which is a Saturday. If that confilts with anyone's schedule, let me know right away.
Steven, you mentioned the 24th which is a Thursday. If you can bump that up to the 26th or the 27th. We might be able to make this happen and have a lot of fun with it. There are several proposals mentioned, I know you said the Cape is of interest to you. In going with that, there are a lot of places to go. This is just one and we could go to Hyannis after that. Good food, lots of fun.
This is one proposal, there may be more once we get the ball rolling. I can still drive to Kittery to meet up with you guys and lead the way to the Cape to meet up with the others.
Stan's in Carver, Robbie is close by and nightrider is in Norwich CT. Crispy is on Long Island and the other guy's from East Hartford. I think we can all help pull this together. Let's see what kind of response we get for this now.
Rick

I think next year is a great idea. That car show that you told me about would be great. You know I love that area too. Heritage, you know!!! This thing for you all coming down for a Cape Run can work, we have a bunch that are interested, that's a good thing.

Rick,
I for one wouldn't mind a ride up the ME sea shore/coast. It is alot of driving for you to go to ME and then back down to the Cape.
I am sure the museum is going to want a head count, time and date.

Judging from the responses on here, it appears that we have a whole lot of folks that are interested. If we do get 3 or 4 from Canada, and then you and I and robbie, nightrider, phil and the guy from East Hartford, Crispy and Tony. That makes a bunch of us at 12, If I have left anyone out or added any, just make adjustments.
I want to pick them up in Kittery, if you want to come, all the better! The 26th would be the date and the time depending on how long it takes us, I'm sure you can map it out to get a ball park figure. If we meet them for breakfast at about 9 am, 3/4 of an hour for that, then off to the cape. I figure about 2 hrs trip time. Would make it about noonish for all of us to meet at the Museum.? What do you think? I'll be more than happy to PM those on our side of the border, to get a full count. Looks like this might be a great cruise, don'tcha' think?
Rick

We GOT the date, Put that up ASAP Crispy, I think we have the makings of a great run that might go down in history. The more the merrier.. Crispy, email or PM all of your buddies within driving distance. We might be able to find a meeting spot along the way to the Cape. I'm telling you, this is going to be something!!!!

I'll contact the Heritage Museum today and see what they say. Look like they have nothing on their calendar so we won't be competing for space. Stan

The Heritage Museum is iffy about having us on the 26th because they have a flower show going on and the event manager will not be available to help us. I told her I was willing to help anyway possible. I may have to mark sprinklers and guide us in to the parking area. We need to have exact arrival times for her. I told here hte first group would be arriving around 10 or earlier if needed. The second group from Kittery around noon. The time really isn't that important as long as we coordinate the arrival. So Rick and I will have to keep in communication during the cruise to estimate an exact arrival. If they don't want us we will have to think of an alternate location.

Any suggestions for an alternate location if the HeritageMuseum fall through?

Stan
