I'm a track junkie myself so I'm after maximum grip at maximum G's. Not the same game but I'm a fan of all styles and flavors as long as it's clear what the goal is. Go all the way or stay home. Loving the diversity.

Thanks for the kind words man. I had figured that going this route with an SRT-6 was going to get me nothing but criticism so I have been pleasantly surprised to find that the community is very supportive of my approach. I love the track scene too but unfortunately my budget only alots for one build at a time and having an aggressively low street car that I can cruise around to shows and whatnot is more my style.

And you really think my rear is over 3.5 degrees of camber? My Miata was all natural camber.......stock controls and everything.....and it had -3.6F/-5.4R. But it was alot lower than my Crossfire is. My car is lower for Crossfire....but it's still relatively conservative in comparison to the group of friends that I hang out with. I guess you could say that we're a bunch of hype beasts but I love my friends to death and the silly/impractical things we do to our cars.....lol. That Mazdaspeed 3 is running a 205/40 on an 18x10......and yes, that's a Camaro ZL1 on coilovers. Our neighborhood's HOA loves us.

If the weather is decent tomorrow I'll take a few pictures for you. I'm at -3º on the front and -1.5º on the rear. That's my track alignment. (K-macs) I have a transporter for my track rims and tires (in the closet) so the photo will be of my stock rims and tires but you'll be able to see the camber, clearance, roll, etc. Here's hoping for a decent tomorrow.

Excellent, I really appreciate it. Your current setup and my existing setup (stock wheels/tires with 15mm spacers) sit pretty evenly and I definitely have some room left in my fenders before the tires are rubbing the inner fender lips. And that's not factoring in the slight stretch my tires will have. Fingers crossed that everything fits the way I expect it to.

I'm a loser taking photos. What I need to do is mount my track rubber with spacers. Here's what I have.

Les

These were taken today. I hope you can see the rolled front fenders and get an idea of the drivable drop. Any lower and I have "loose bowel moments" on track. I'll attempt to find time to mount the rear track tires with my 10mm spacer for the fun of it. 5mm less than your planning …..

I'm slowly bringing my friends over to the dark side.. I've convinced them that they need better cars and one just picked up a '14 GTI and another is shopping G37 this weekend

Last pictures on the stock wheels! I am heading to my buddy's shop to mount the new wheels tonight. Wish me luck with getting them to fit!

Josh, I gotta say I'm usually not a a big fan of cars that have been "dipped". But I have to admit (with the green color you chose) your car wears it well. Nice job.
Oh, by the way. You now hold the dubious honor of having the highest # of views and replies in what's supposed to be an "Introduction" thread.

Thanks! If I can be completely honest.......i'm still not sold on the whole dip thing either. It's cool and all but nothing beats a freshly waxed/clayed/buffed coat of paint. But the paint on my car was pretty beat when I bought it and I had a few big events coming up so I decided to dip the car for now to change things up and basically to mask all the imperfections. I look at my dip job as one giant bandaid........lol. I am actually planning to have the car resprayed the original black this August after I knock out a few other things on my "to do" list.

Here are a few updated shots with the new wheels mounted.

I'm still not quite satisfied with how the car is sitting so I will be changing a few things up soon. I plan to space the rear wheels out an additional 5mm which will make my rear setup a 19x10 +5. I am also planning to contact Swift Springs soon to see if they can make me a custom set of shorter springs as i'd like for the car to sit about an inch lower all around. Lastly I am having a shop up in MD build me a custom set of front/side splitters to compliment the rear diffusers that I plan on purchasing soon.

That's it for now!

I've been M.I.A. for a few weeks sorting things out with the car. I succesfully lowered the car more by removing the front adjustment rings and the rear collars from my KW's. I also has my front fenders rolled and the were able to roll the rears a little bit by folding the fender lip and essentailly making the "crease" in our quarter panels a little bit smaller/flatter. In doing so I was able to put a larger rear spacer setup on and I am FINALLY happy with how the car is sitting. I also had a shop up in MD called Custom Functionz custom fabricate me front and side splitters. They did an outstanding job and they're super beefy! Other than that, I am having my dip touched up in a few spots where it's messed up (not my fault, they're doing it for free) and still in the process of replacing some of the beat up trim pieces here and there. I made an appointment to have the car painted in late August. Decided to go with Mercedes Benz Obsidian Black Metallic to keep it somewhat OEM looking but with a custom touch. Anywho, enough blabbering and onto a few pics!

The car looks great. Nicely done. I'm not a plastidip guy but I have to say they did a nice job with it. Good luck with the front splitter. Given that it's lowered, I'm hoping that no bad roads are in your future. That's hard arond here nowadays.

Fantastic-looking SRT6!!! Dipped exterior & the wheels/tires combo really sets it apart from any other XFire I've seen to-date. You outta take this one to Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle in JULY. Looks like a show winner to me!

Not sure I'd paint it black. Then it'll look like any other SRT6 with aftermarket wheels/tires.

I've really enjoyed following your mods in this thread. I'd have to say that your driveway looks to be "fuller" than mine. And that's saying something!

I hear ya, but when I bought the car my original vision for it included the car being black. I am not doing the OEM black, I am having it painted Obsidian Black Metallic. From a far it won't look much different than that of the OEM black but up close in direct sunlight it will be noticeably different.

Haha I have a Needswings single CAI, Eurocharged ECU/TCU tunes & a custom axle-back. It's good enough for now. After I finish up the aesthetics later this year I plan on doing a bigger heat exchanger, pulley and a re-tune.

Thanks. I'm used to driving low cars (my Miata was a good bit lower than my Crossfire) so i'm not too worried about it.
