New Owner in CLE OH
New Owner in CLE OH
Greetings all,
I am now the happy owner of a light blue Srt-6. Just got it home yesterday and had a blast on the trip home from Columbus. I remember as a teenager when Crossfire came out. I have always thought that it was a beautiful and unique car. I hoped back then, a pipe dream, that my first car would be an Srt-6 Crossfire or the Srt-4 Neon. Instead my need for speed was humbled as I found my self cruising in the 100hp Saturn Sl1. The "silver bullet" or as my dad called it "the old grey mare". Still managed to get my share of tickets though... Fast forward 13 years and I found my self looking for a fun car. This should fit the bill.
Thanks to all the members of the forum for generating the content you have over the years covering maintenance, repairs, modifications, good times, etc... You were a great resource when evaluating the prospect of the purchase, general learning, and should be a great resource to come. I hope I can contribute something as well in the years to come.
I took a look before at the Srt-6 VIN registry and while I may or may not have been using the search function correctly but I believe I may have an unregistered vehicle on my hands. I will follow up on that in the days to come.
So far I love the vehicle. I have already managed to spill a drink out the cup holder and have gotten a few inquisitive looks my way and other cars wanting to play...
Speaking of play. I took a look at the Tail of the Dragon meetups and the look pretty fun. Will try to make at least on in the future.
Thanks again and safe travels.

Re: New Owner in CLE OH
Thanks for the welcome xfire and Valk and glad you enjoyed the intro.
I got a Coupe and pictures should be attached in JPG form.
Beautiful car but I am a tad envious of the Inferno Red. I am sure that looks great.
As for the Tail of the Dragon meets. Since I am a tax accountant the spring is probably out of the question but I will definitely shoot for the fall gathering.

Re: New Owner in CLE OH
Steve, thanks for the welcome and I am sure that somewhere there is a crossfire with your name on it.
No problem with asking. I enjoyed looking up its history myself. Seems to have had a few owners but has spent most of its life in the DC area.
Just made it over 64000 miles driving it home. From what I can gather from the Carfax...
Owner 1 Springfield VA Sold 13,000 miles in 2006
Owner 2 Silver Spring MD Sold 31,000 miles in 2010
Owner 3 Severn MD Sold 55,000 in 2015
Owner 4 Columbus OH Sold 64,000 in 2016
