Yea, learned about that the first week or two here ----- Not much else to know about Griffin.

So, an interesting little thing.. Was updating my interactive google map of the event, and I noticed for some reason that there was another page. Apparently, can only have so many markers on one page, and then the second page didn't keep everything from the first page..
Not sure about how I'm going to fix that. I might edit out the routes and put them after everyone else, essentially trying to force the routes to that second page or something. Anyone have any ideas about it? Or know more about google maps?

I noticed that when you posted my route, I was short by a day and a half, . No problem I will get there in 30 plus hours but it will take me 3 1/2 days to cover the 2200+ miles , I dont know how to fix the google map problem, but am packingfor a 10 day road trip, in a roadster

10 days traveling with a wife in a roadster? No way you can fit her stuff in.
Just pack one change of underwear (in case you have an accident) and a credit card. Drops in the boot very easily and saves room for soveniers. If married, it saves room for her stuff.
Me. I just found it easier all round to make payments on a car for HER. She can carry her own stuff.

If he can do ten days with his wife and fit it all in a roadster trunk, I will be impressed. My wife fills the car with an overnight trip!

Trailer behind a van!
Actually I was looking at a motor home with a garage that turns into a living room with a crank, but then I saw the price tag

Gotcha. That's a long trip. I did a straight run from here to Indianapolis, IN, not stopping, in my regular XFire.. Whew. Definitely glad I'm figuring in hotel stops this time through to St. Louis.

Checked up on the hotel listing to make sure some haven't "squeaked" by me when they made reservations. Turns out we have two names which I can't seem to link to a user name on the list. If the name below is you or you think it is you (I have the last names), please PM me and let me know for sure (to include your dates)
Paul A. (sent a reply)
Kenneth G.
If anybody knows or suspects who these two might be, please pass them a message. Thanks in advance.
By the way, we only have 11 people confirmed with Harrah's counting these two.

I'm still trying to figure out when I (we, we being locals) will leave and return. By "we" I mean what are the plans for others in the area that will be traveling? Sure would be cool to convoy out instead of going one by one.
Regional Volunteers, are you planning with your local folks?

You would probably want to convoy with the group from SoCal. I am figuring to drive conservative (and enjoy the drive) it will take appx 3 days. I haven't figured out a route yet and where the first "rest stop" will be, maybe you AZ guys can advise.
Perhaps pick up NM, CO, OK, West TX on the way. Feel free to suggest.
I also want to put in a plug for Cars N Coffee in Irvine on Sep 26th. SoCal and area Crossfires will have an impact on the producers (they will be there filming) of the TV special we are working on about all of this (better than 50% chance it will happen).

The wife and I are planning to attend barring any unforseen event. I'll have no problem getting vacation time. St. Louis is only about 4 hours of easy driving. Is there any solid info about routes people are taking as to meet up?
