Franc,
Look forward to drag racing you on that Tuesday especially if Eurocharged does the tune on Monday. Be gentle on me as this will be my first drag race.

Sandgrounder, if you want a ECU tune on that Monday when we arrive in St Louis, just follow me. I've been to Franc's factory twice and know the route as that is where Eurocharged will be having their dyno/tune.

Just to clarify for those on the fence regarding the Wed night at the track.

There is no fee to show up...that means nada, zip, FREE is FREE just to attend - got this very clear from Franc this afternoon.

The only cost that night is if you decide to put your car on the track and do the oval or the rally type drive

Also, yet to be confirmed/announced/declared by Gary (VALKRYDERGUY) but I'll leak it out here.
CICCI may very well be sponsoring a car show that night/afternoon at the track.

I went to the trck today to make final arrangements. while there I checked out the refueling options.

As I said, there is a petro station across the highway 203.
It is a PILOT station and the pump did not list ethonal in the mix.

However the octane was limited to 91 so it might be better to fill up before crossing the river.

It was $3.00 per gallon today.
I put Shell 93 octane in my tank today at $2.80 per gallon.

We are looking at setting up a slalom course at theracetrack.

Does anyone know the distances involved?

How long is the run? How far apart to set the Cones? How many Cones?

As may slalom tests as I have seen, I haven't a clue to these measurments.

We will be in the pits with two 10'X10' tent canopies. One or two tables and some folding chairs.

Yeah. Bring seats or it is a long walk to the stands.

I must admit, we haven't done anything like this before so there is going to be some adventure to the process. Anybody have ideas or suggestions, bring 'em on.

Hello Franc, another question/suggestion. Can we bring in coolers for drinks (non-alcoholic I'm sure) and stuff?

Yes. Recommended that you bring stuff.

No alcohol allowed.

We will have ice and Blinky Blinker Fluid.

I'll bring cups but there are no cupholders

Just found out we will have the Helmet van there and he will have snacks and drinks in a concession trailer along with racing supplies, gloves and souvenier stuff.

Hell, he might even have some RC Cola!

I just got the car show awards in the mail from the CICCI club store.
These are some very nice awards and reference CAA on them so I encourage everyone to plan on coming out to the track on Wednesday night for the car show and maybe you will win a 1rst, 2nd or 3rd place award from CICCI.

Similar to other meets, we are planning to have the group photo at the Gateway Raceway on Wed. I recommend everybody head to the track after our drives and get in the picture. Just to remind you, the only fee will be if you decide to run the track.

Default We're on our way to CAA

The Northern Ca. contingent of 1 vehicle is now pulling out. WOOT!!

See y'all in a few days

Post up when you're leaving. It'll be fun to imagine all the cars from around the country, and beyond, pulling onto the highways over the coming days.

Ya'll have one very long trip in a little car. At least is is "cute."

Some of the prettiest scenery in the land to go thru . And some of the most desolate and lonely.

Please, don't get lost
Please, don't get disouraged
Please, don't get arrested
and
Please, do get here.

Looking forward to a face to face wedge.

Let me re-iterate for folks to be careful & drive safe to CAA event. There are many of us traveling from east of Mississippi River locales that may be going thru heavy thunderstorm activity. Seems to be a regular daily occurrence here in SE-USA the past week or so. Don't take unnecessary chances.
