CAA Photos and Comments
Re: CAA Photos and Comments
This was my first GTG with my beautiful Angel! I want to thank every one for their patience with me, now I am not a rookie any more!!!
This trip was a wonderful, wonderful experience for me.
The sites, and the driving, will not soon be forgotten.
The Gateway Crossfire Group are the best!!!!!
A big thanks to Ruth and Eric, for helping with the surprise!
To those who could not make it.......MAN YOU MISSED A GREAT TIME!!!!!
Terry and I are looking forward to the Colorado 2012 meet.
We met old and new friends, and are looking forward to doing this again.
Terry has already debugged both the cars!!!
More later,
Diane

I too am really sorry I missed this GTG. It just seemed everytime I turned around there was some sort of roadblock keeping me from attending. I guess it just wasn't meant to be, but I'm glad everybody had a great time (something I've noticed is pretty common with this group).
I'm looking forward to Woodward, and hopefully the Dragon this Fall.
Thanks everybody for posting the photos of the Gateway GTG, they really help us "no-shows" see what we missed.

Made it home! Car ran perfectly the entire way. Even let Jason drive for 100 miles of the 3200 mile trip!
THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU to all that had a hand in planning the GTG. Very professionally done. Thanks to everyone that attended and sorry to those that missed out on a great opportunity to meet and hang with fellow Crossfire owners!
Go ahead and put me at the top of the list for the Colorado GTG in 2012. Hopefully more will sign up and not back out and we will see 100+ Crossfires at that event!
See ya there!

Still on the road....in Elko, NV tonight on the way to Folsom to see my new granddaughter. Heading home after July 4th.
So far, just over 4000 miles in 10 days. Sandgrounder, I think you got me beat.
For everyone still on the road, may your trip home be pleasant and uneventful. For those already home, get some rest!

Re: CAA Photos and Comments
Thanks for the pics Gary. We can always count on you to be on top of the picture taking. Thanks for sharing, looks like everyone had an amazing time.
Re: CAA Photos and Comments
Just pulled into home about 30 minutes ago! We had a great time on the way back and saw some interesting rock formations as well as 5 and 6 legged steers (yes, you read right). Thanks again GCG!
Oh, and we had some rain as we arrived in town. It lowered the temperature to 60. I will never gripe about 60 degrees again after the heat. Humidity is hard on a Colorado boy.

Re: CAA Photos and Comments
It's a little hard to compete with Gary's pics and vids, but here are a few shots from my portfolio of the CAA 2010.
A shot of one of the many bridges in the area.
I love looking in the mirror and seeing a line of Crossfires trailing off into the distance.
This is where the track manager asked Franc "What...another newbie?"

These guys really pulled off a excellent GTG.
The GCG did an amazing job keeping everyone on schedule and on track getting to all the places on the agenda at their scheduled times.
My sincerest thanks to all who made this GTG possible.
I got home around 3:00 today and spent hours going through hundreds of pics
and putting them into order for a good photo presentation for you all.

Monday
I arrived and just hung out at Harrah's meeting others as they arrived.
Tuesday
Several of us went to Franc Rauschers shop and had a BBQ and washed our Crossfires.
Tuesday Night
We all went to see the Rascals Baseball game and got to drive our Crossfires in a parade around the field prior to the start of the game.
Wednesday
Several of us went on the Hermann Tour which took us to the "Stone Hill Winery" and "Daniel Boone's Home"
Wednesday night
A lot of us went to the Gateway International Raceway for tons of fun out on the track.
Speeds often reached in excess of 100mph on the street course which used half of the oval track to really get to some high speeds !!
CICCI also sponsored a car show and three awards were given at the farewell dinner on Thursday night
Thursday
A much cooler day to go on a downtown tour in St.Louis.
We went and toured the Budweiser Brewery and afterwords got to drink some samples of beer in the hospitality bar.
Then had lunch at the Spaghetti Factory.
After lunch we went to the grounds of the Gateway Arch and went up to the top for a great view of St.Louis.
Thursday night
The GTG came to a close with a really nice Farewell Dinner where we all went to a banquet hall in St.Charles, Mo for dinner and a raffle to raise money for the children's hospital in St.Louis.
We also announced the winners of the CICCI car show and presented the awards to the winners.
