Since I was a quite active member here on crossfireforums,
I wanted to share my experience at IMPRESSIVE AUTO CENTER, in maspeth queens, about their vinyl wrapping services.

I just got my roof, and parts of my car Matte Black vinyl wrapped. It's an amazing job, and it cost only a fraction of what others charge!

Now thats cool...was thinking wrapping car in flames....theres a black Smart that was done by me that looks cool with wrap.

How much if ya don't mind me asking....

 

Already talked about running over to the shop to get this done to the roof...

a) $175-200 for the roof.

b) they don't do full wraps yet, but he estimates it would be around 3k.

c) they can however matte little bits and pieces that you may want done.


...that being said, I may go in and get them to matte the roof... and maybe a couple other parts...just to see how it looks.

 

ROAD RAGE does full cars....seen them do whole boats too....

 

Damn, that's the price for a paint job. Sheesh...

come by the shop, if you can get FIVE guys from the crossfireforums to get it done, I talked to the shop and give it to you guys at a group buy price of $165 full roof done and if you want your grille Matte blacked as well, it can be done for additional $35, YES just 35 bucks. (only at this group buy deal) but they'll need a $50 deposit in advanced.


The reason why it'll cost around $3000-4000 depending on car is because the LABOR cost of vinyl wrapping is insane. in order to achieve perfection, everything needs to be done SLOW, most cars...rear quarter panels are connected to most of the frame of the car, so its a one piece job, if you F* up, you gotta start all over.

Currently, full wraps are not offered. but... there's this guy that's currently thinking about wrapping his full car, and Impressive (from what I heard) is thinking about doing it for him!

 

Yes it is. One theory behind getting a vinyl wrap is that a)you can change the color of your car if wanted to whatever you like and b)it has anywhere from a 3-5year warranty on it and c)it actually protects your paint lengthening the brilliant shine lifetime of the paint.

AND impressive uses a 9-year outdoor weatherproof vinyl, its $$$ but it's worth the investment for it's customers.

 

hi all, just dropped by to let you know that i am an experienced vehiclewrapper that has now begun the process of matteing out entire cars. i am also in the NYC area so if you need a hand with this, or know anybody interested in doing it to their auto, or at their, shop please pass this website along as i am just getting it going (at least on the matte game that is). thanks.
