Default Northern NJ help!!!

hey guys and girls -

I may need some help... My car is at the bodyshop (see the thread for more on that). Well, I went and looked at the car today. The bodyshop owner is adamant that the paint job is great. However, every body panel has orange peel (and other defects) on it. I need to be able to prove that the crossfire paint job from the factory is pretty much a mirror finish - so, if it gets to an arbitrator/appraiser to look at the car, I'd like to have someone willing to let him/her see what a factory paintjob looks like - preferably from an '08, but older will do. The car is at Hardyston Collision on Route 94.

any volunteers?

Thanks!

Bill

If you were within a few hundred miles I'd drive over.....but it sounds like you're on the east coast?

Steve at ukcrossfires.co.uk has info on original paint. This may be of interest/help to you. Hope the paint job ultimately meets your satisfaction.

Grrr I wish I could help, but mine is definitely not up to snuff of the original paint...Especially since it hasn't been detailed at all this winter. Not sure how much help I could be, but I'll still drive up there if you want me to.

My paint is pretty good minus a some swirling. I'm near Morristown, and have no idea where 94 is.

I live in Flanders, I checked mapquest and I think it would take me 35-45 minutes to get up to that shop. My car is a black 2004 so I'm not sure if thats too much help for you. I don't have any time this weekend but some time next week I should be able to get up there, let me know if that would be helpful to you and maybe we can work something out.

thanks for the offers, guys! I will let you know when the appraiser may look at my car, and try to talk with him beforehand to see if he's familar with the crossfire, or if it would be helpful to have another to look at. It probably will be a couple of weeks, as they should be finishing the car sometime this week, and then I'm off on vacation for a week (Vegas here I come!). So, unless it gets scheduled for the end of this week, it'll be a bit...
