Default Autocrossing around DC?

A couple of friends and I were thinking about trying autocrossing in the next few weekends. We live in the DC area and are looking to find an event close by. Most likely the cars going would be my 06 base model, a 2012 TTRS, and a 04 WRX. None of us have autocrossed before so someone that has, that would be willing to share some tips and tricks would be great. Any one interested?

Contact Waldig (Woody); as I remember he does some autocrossing.

Not sure of any autocross events coming up be we (crossfires of maryland) is having a car show at Linganore winery near mount airy md this saturday. It's open to all cars. Great venue and great roads to drive to get their and set up your own on road course. Should be a a lot of fun. Lots of crossfire bretheren too. Let me know if you want more info.

I'm thinking of going to the MB - GWS event on 8/19. My first time as well. See details.

Two clubs that I was going to were the MB club in Winchester and the Capital Driving Club that ran several places in MD and VA. Check the google and you can find them, they are both a great bunch of people, Enjoy, Woody.

I little late to post... as we're out of season now but....

Going on what Woody said. I've been to both the MB club of America and the Capitol driving club and they are both great! Everyone is just as in to cars and having fun as any car guy/gal. It runs about $30-$40 depending on which club you go to and you get 6 timed runs per event.
In fact my lady had fun and she didn't even drive or ride (she took the photos): Blog |
