My Daily Beater...
My Daily Beater...
Both of the Crossfires were clean and snug in the garage, so I spent a little time on the beater today.
She's our poor, little, American cousin from Daimler/Chrysler, a 2003 GT PT Cruiser Turbo with the Getrag 5 Speed. A man still has to have a his fun, dont ja' know.

Well, after working over the paint yesterday, today I tackled the head lights.
I didn't have any funds to go and purchase one of those kits, so I improvised.
List of materials: 1000 and 2000 grit sand paper with lots of water
Cerium Oxide and water (used in my lapidary hobby)
Adam's Swirl and Haze Remover
Adam's Revive Polish
Adam's VRT-rubber, vinyl, and plastic protectant
Meguiars's Mirror Glaze #135 (on the paint)
Time:about 3 hours (I was improvising don't 'ja know)
Cost: $0.00
Savings: (over replacing headlights) $231.00.....Each!!!!
Job satisfaction: Priceless
Take a look....this is after sanding to 2000 grit

Hey I used to have one of those! This is the only picture of it I have online.
Mine was an 03 Base model with a 5-speed. It was fun to drive and very useful. I used to pull the seats and put my Honda SL-70 in it all the time. Great car, but I traded it in on my Crossfire
