Default any opinions/info on the Dodge Magnums?

So Ive been in the hunt to replace my small SUV... And I was able to get my hands on a friends SRT-8 Charger after it had been tuned and exhaust.. Wow, that car is just amazing. Ive driven a few 5.7L Hemi 300's/chargers, but those SRT's are just sick.
So long story short.. I am not sure if I want to take the whole SRT plunge, as fun as it may be (especially in the Crossfire extent.. ) I think perhaps a Magnum with with 340 hp hemi would be a good start for building.
I need something with room for 4, and also able to tote 2 big dogs to the vet and to Atlanta when needed..
So that why I am in the wagon hunt. Ive also considered trucks, or something of that nature, but I enjoy sporty vehicles... and a 400+ hp wagon sounds like a potential good fit.

I have a 300C with the 5.7 and I like it. But if you do most of your driving in town the gas milage will hurt. It gets low 20's on the highway but around 11 in town. Mine has been a good car. I had the transmission O ring leak fixed under warranty. A shaking while backing up fixed with a software upgrade at the dealer under warranty. My only real complaint is the sunroof that rattles. They fixed it too, for a few weeks, then it started up again worse than before. The interior in the magnum is not as nice as the 300, and the 300 interior is not great, just nice. With a cam and predator you can run low 13's with the 5.7. The stock pistons are weak and those that take the stock block into the high 12's end up eventually with piston ring land failures. Stroker time! I love the look of the Magnum. Good luck on your search.
