Let me help you out, mine happens to be out of the box at the moment. Behold, the almighty coveted Crossfire humidor, complete with Xikar cutter and Prometheus lighter....

PS, it would take no less than $450 to get mine. Lighter has never been filled, cutter never used. Still stinks up a room with cedar scent upon opening...high quality $#!+ folks!

Who'd've thought that this was even available back then. Learned something new today!

I would love to have one, but for the price tags of these I will be sticking with my travel box.

Reminds me of the old saying, the difference between men and boys, is the price of their toys.

Serious questions time, is the humidistat in this thing accurate, and if so how long in a car would it maintain that (or any reasonable) level? Does anyone send it out to be 'calibrated', or is that even possible?

.

The "humidistat" is a hygrometer and is very accurate in it's simple construction. I have other desktop and travel humidors but would venture to guess fresh cigars would keep at least a week in the car. I left my traveldor in the 6 for two weeks and all sticks were fresh. Mind you, this is in Florida heat and humidity.

Thanks for that correction chuK! Sometimes the fingers do more walking then the dictionary in my brain! Humidistats are on HVAC/process controls systems. Hygrometers are for specifically monitoring conditions of humidity in any surrounding air.

Thats impressive Chuk! We used a sling psychrometer to measure relative humidity accurately in the pressroom years back, which if you are not familiar with, compares the wet-bulb temp against the dry-bulb temp to get its readings....Peace
