125 HP 2 Stage Nitrous results!
125 HP 2 Stage Nitrous results!
I went to the track on the 10th APR 2010 with my new 125 HP 2 Stage Nitrous set up for the 1st time. I had good and bad results. The good is that I broke the crossfire limited record again from 13.75 at 98 mph to 13.57. at 101 mph. The bad news is I only did two nitrous passes because the hot rods kept leaking their fluids all over the track and it got shut down more then not.
Also, my camera girl ruined the videos standing behind a fence... The next bad news is the ECU damage, this is the 1st time I race with this ECU but the lights BAS and ABS were on and because of it I had no stability control I lost traction off the time like never before... I don't use the traction control on anyways. But I spun on the same spot for 5 sec during the 1st run.
Lastly, my reaction time in this run was also bad .3635 I got a 13.5 run. So next time I will ace the reaction time and get a 13.3 out of the run. But until then I need to figure out what to do with this ECU problem and maybe stop using Z rated tires. On SAT I put my street ECU back on and got no lights and everything was fine. I don't know what to do with the bad ECU now!
To get to the nitrous set up details go to www.paulscrossfire.com "performance ideas" That's where I wrote about it.

Reaction time is not counted in your ET...... it's just a number. It only counts if you are racing the guy next to you to see who gets to the end first, regardless of time.
I raced a mod'ed 396 Chevelle yesterday with the SSB. His RT was .294 and mine was .639 (eeeeek!)
At the end he was 12.874 @ 105.54 and I was 12.863@109.54.... my ET was better than his, but he beat me to the finish.... I had closed to his rear bumper when we crossed the line......

was you race ecu maybe setup to fully deactivate the TC because the TC seems to be a huge problem for most of us as it intervenes even when switched off. i wonder how youd do with some slicks????? what is the elevation and temp at the track???? its already getting hot so im sure youll yield even better times in the fall/winter season.

2004 Chrysler Crossfire Limited NA 1/4 mile trap speeds 0-60 - DragTimes.com After a sea level adjustment it would have been a 13.4 at 102.8 mph

congrats on all your success using nitrous and pushing the envelope with the limited. I look forward to the day you get your hands on an SRT6 engine to swap in your ride. My buddy with a black SRT6 runs a 30 shot and his best is 11.7. Much respect to you and your devotion to going faster. Thumbs up.

However, in the earlier years of the forum there was a guy ripping 12's a non-srt XF on laughing gas.
It's been years so I can't remember the exact set up, but I remember he had a 150 shot.

I even remember the person getting sore after my questioning and stating he was leaving the forum. I don't think it was you. But I could be wrong, it was years ago.

But luckly I will hit the 12.9 this month, I got a battle with tracktion and what it seems to be a REV limiter at 6000 RPMs. Hope to go again on the 14th of May, if not it will be in AUG. Later.
Here is a post of me talking about the same car 4 and half years ago, its on the second page.
