Just won my first victory on my first trip to GIR this summer thought everyone would get a kick out of it. Scroll down the the sport tuner category and there is a nice write up and pictures at the bottom.

Re: 5/4/2010 GIR SCSS Sport Tuner Victory
Had some brand new Hankook(sp?) evo12s. Was using Nitto NT555. The evos only had 200 miles on them and were cutting 1.76-1.83 60's. Identical to the Nitto's.
I'm already regretting getting these hankooks. Altho they are cheaper and perform slightly better in the wet. The NT555's gave equal traction in the dry much quieter ride, and didn't track near as bad on uneven surfaces. Haven't tested cornering or snow and probably wont I despise the steering racks in these cars and quit doing corners.
Was stalling at approx 1300-1500 rpms. on launches. anything over 1500 and it would spin off the line and yield 1.9x+ 60fts.

Wow 1.7 60 foots with street tyres is very impressive, I have exactly the same dilemma with trying to launch at anything over 1,500rpms, I just get wheel spin.
What pressure do you put your tyres down? I'm assuming a burnout of 3 - 4 seconds?
I've been to a few drags now but still can't master the launch
