Default Crossfire SOLO run

This was a fairly competitive event. We had over 80 participants, and 13 in the class with the Crossfire (D Stock). The Crossfire does very well at these events. I'm running it without any mods, except a straight pipe after the Y, and the only guy beating me is a modified BMW with Koni's Kuhmo's and a front end set up for autocross. More to come.

How does the stock Classification work (you said D stock)? I was under the impression that F was "showroom stock/ unmodified", or is that just for 1/4 mile?

In SCCA SOLO II Autocross, the NA Crossfire is in D Stock, and the SRT is in B Stock. There is a web site you can find with the classifications and where each sports car will compete against similar cars (weight, engine size, etc). NASA has a different scoring system -- the NA is in "E" class, and I don't know where the SRT is, probably "C".

I had a straight pipe fabricated at a local shop for that great sound, and made it easy to swap out. With Autocross events about every other week, I can get the back end up, stock exhaust off, straight pipe on in just over 10 minutes. It's worth every second to hear that low rumble when the Tach is between 3K & 6K. Making a lot of people take notice of the Crossfire.

nice video

I had no idea half the time where you were supposed to be running though ... I think I'd be in the wrong spots. The cones aren't too clear, at least at first glance.

Probably the most important aspect of a SOLO race is the course walk. You do get a map of the course, and the chance to walk it, usually more than once. It is not unusual for someone to get lost on the first few runs though.
