Re: Shooting for 11s
Last race, yesterday, was a Audi 90, 1200 whp, and i lost by 2 cars. I love my Mercedes.
I only use 180000 rpm of the Supercharger. IHI Supercharger is maxt out at 22000 rpm.
So, i can get more pressuere. And more HP
11 sec is no problem for you on the street. S/C pulley or a Crank pulley.
Good luck
Re: Shooting for 11s
I need to revise that. I had an Evotech TCU but I couldn't make it work for me. It shifted slower than stock and worse than that, I kept hitting the rev limiter in the PCM. MY PCM rpm limit is raised to 6500 rpm and the TCU was set to shift at 6400. Too close together. When I swapped in a 3:27 the TCU came out and another TCU went in. I'm back to stock shift points. On my car, the extra 400 rpm was worth 20 hp. If you can get it to work, power is there. I haven't been back to the 1/4 mile since swapping in the 3:27.

Re: Shooting for 11s
I researched the blue tops years ago and it seems we already have them. The MB guys indicate that 2005 forward are blues and prior years brown tops. They also indicate an improved upshift but an equally hard downshift coming to a stop.
It's in the tuning of both the ECU and TCU. A lot happens prior and during the gear change. Going from my data logs: timing is cut drastically, throttle body partially closes, supercharger disengages and then the shift happens. (don't know about the exact order) The sequence that happens before the actual shift is a big part of the lag we feel. You can feel it equally after the shift as timing returns and you get 100% throttle back.
