Default tire pressure sensor

I just bought 2 new rear tires@ firestone to replace the wore out pair. The technician said the passenger side monitor could not be rebuilt and a new one would be required. i allowed them to replace it with the one that was suppose to work with the crossfire. low and behold the tech could not set it now I have a pressure sensor light that is on. What can I do, they kept it on my rim and advised me to go to the dealer and have them reset it.
